Campgrounds and RV parks near Longmeadow, MA

Longmeadow sits in the Pioneer Valley of western Massachusetts, just south of Springfield along the Connecticut River. RV renters use it as a base for reaching the Berkshires, the Mass Pike corridor, and attractions in the Springfield metro. The town itself is residential, so campgrounds cluster in the surrounding hill towns of Southwick, Granville, and Sturbridge, generally within a thirty to forty-five minute drive. Southwick Acres Campgrounds and Sodom Mountain Campground are the closest full-service options, both located in Southwick and geared toward families with pools, hookups, and weekend activities. The Quarry Campground and Mineral Springs Family Campgrounds add tent and RV space in the surrounding hills, while Sunsetview Farm Camping Area lies farther east near Sturbridge and provides a rural farm setting. Expect a mix of privately owned parks rather than large federal campgrounds in this immediate area. State forest camping in Massachusetts is handled through ReserveAmerica under the DCR, but the private parks near Longmeadow book directly through their own websites or phone lines.

Private campgrounds near Longmeadow, including Southwick Acres Campgrounds, Sodom Mountain Campground, The Quarry Campground, Mineral Springs Family Campgrounds, and Sunsetview Farm Camping Area, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Same-day reservations are accepted online until 2 p.m., but walk-ins are not. Book summer weekends and foliage-season stays as early as possible, and confirm rig length limits, hookup type (30 vs 50 amp), and pet policies before booking, since site dimensions vary widely at older parks.
