Sibley State Park is the main outdoor draw. The park has over 18 miles of hiking trails through hardwood forests and prairies, plus the hike to Mount Tom, one of several high points in a 50-mile radius. Summer visitors swim, boat, and fish on Lake Andrew, and a canoe route connects Henschien Lake, Swan Lake, Middle Lake, and beyond. On the water, canoe, kayak, and boat rentals are available in season from the beach-area camp store. Anglers target walleye, bass, crappie, sunfish, and bullhead across the county's many lakes. In town, families use Grove City and Litchfield for playgrounds, ballfields, and small shops. Winter visitors ski roughly eight miles of cross-country trails within Sibley, and snowshoe and snowmobile the surrounding public land.

The prime RV season runs from mid-May through mid-October. Sibley State Park is open year-round but has limited facilities from mid-October through mid-May. The dump station operates from mid-May through mid-October, which sets the practical window for renters needing hookups and services. June through August is peak season. Weekends fill fast at Oak Ridge and Lakeview, and holiday weekends around Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Labor Day are typically booked as soon as they open in the reservation window. The park gift shop is open from Memorial weekend through Labor Day. Late spring and early summer bring the highest thunderstorm and tornado risk in the region. September and early October are quieter and cooler, with fall color usually peaking in the first half of October. Winter camping is possible at Sibley for tents and hardy RVers, but water spigots and showers are shut down for the season, and most private parks close through the coldest months.

Sites in the area accommodate a wide range of rigs. At Sibley, campsites can accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs up to 70 feet, and each site has a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Following the 2025 rebuild of Lakeview, the park has roughly 74 electric sites split between Lakeview and Oak Ridge, with the remainder non-electric. There are no water or sewer hookups at individual sites; full hookups are generally found at the private parks rather than the state park. In-season amenities at Sibley include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection, and a centralized dump station serving both campgrounds. Cell service is generally reliable in and around Grove City but can be spotty deeper in the park. Mosquitoes and ticks are active from late spring through early fall, so pack repellent and check for ticks after hiking.
