Englishtown sits in western Monmouth County, central New Jersey, within easy reach of the Jersey Shore, Six Flags Great Adventure, and the Pine Barrens. RV travelers use it as a base for beach trips, theme-park weekends, and quieter wooded camping, with most nearby campgrounds clustered a short drive south and west in Freehold Township and Jackson Township. The closest public option is Turkey Swamp Park, a Monmouth County park in Freehold Township covering roughly 2,400 wooded acres with a 17-acre lake, family campground, and multi-use trails. Most sites in the area are wooded with a mix of pull-through and back-in configurations. Water and electric hookups are standard at Turkey Swamp Park, while full hookups are typically available at the private parks. Larger Class A and fifth-wheel rigs are accepted at most nearby parks, though renters should confirm rig-length limits at the time of booking.

Turkey Swamp Park uses the Monmouth County Park System reservation platform. Reservations for the current calendar year open on January 1 and can be made online or by calling the campground office at 732-462-7286 after noon daily. Of the 64 wooded family campsites, 52 are reservable and 12 are held first-come, first-served. A two-night minimum applies on weekends, with a three-night minimum on holiday weekends. One-night stays are allowed Sunday through Thursday. Private campgrounds book directly through their own websites or by phone. For summer weekends and holidays, plan to book several months out.
