At Voorhees State Park, campsites, shelters, and the trailer sanitary station are open April 1 through October 31, with reservations handled through camping.nj.gov. Turkey Swamp Park runs a slightly longer season from April 1 to November 15, and Fla-Net Park is generally open April through mid-October. Washington Crossing State Park offers only primitive group camping in the Phillips Farm area, and those sites have been closed in recent seasons, so RV renters should confirm status before planning around it. Late spring and early fall bring the most comfortable temperatures for touring, with cool nights and manageable humidity. Midsummer is peak season across state, county, and private campgrounds, and popular weekend sites near the shore and the Delaware fill early. Fall foliage in the Highlands and along the Delaware Valley extends the shoulder season into October. Winter camping options are limited. Most state and county campgrounds close, and private RV resorts such as Crystal Springs Wilderness Lodges and RV Resort become the main choice for cold-weather stays with full hookups.
