Campgrounds and RV parks near Silver Ridge, NJ

Silver Ridge is a small census-designated place in Berkeley Township, Ocean County, New Jersey, sitting a few miles inland from Barnegat Bay and roughly a half-hour from the Long Beach Island beaches. For RV travelers, it works well as a quiet base off the Garden State Parkway corridor, with grocery stores, marinas, and state parks all within short drives. The surrounding area is part of the New Jersey Pine Barrens, so campgrounds here tend to feature sandy, pine-shaded sites rather than open meadow layouts. Private resorts dominate the local mix, and most sit in Berkeley Township, Barnegat, or Jackson, all within roughly a 30 to 45 minute drive of Silver Ridge. Typical options near Silver Ridge include Cedar Creek Campground and Canoe Rent, Tip Tam Camping Resort, Butterfly Camping Resort, Sun Retreats Long Beach Island, and Pine Cone Campgrounds. Between them, RV renters can find full hookups, electric-and-water sites, and 15/20/30/50 amp service, plus cabins and tent areas for mixed groups.

Private resorts handle their own reservations. Sun Retreats Long Beach Island lists availability on its own site, while Tip Tam Camping Resort, Butterfly Camping Resort, Cedar Creek Campground and Canoe Rent, and Pine Cone Campgrounds take bookings by phone or through third-party platforms such as Good Sam and RoverPass. Deposits are typically required at booking, and holiday weekends may require full prepayment. For public land camping in nearby state parks and forests, New Jersey uses a central system. New Jersey state parks open campsite reservations 11 months in advance, with bookings released at 7:00 AM Eastern Time. Reservations are placed through the state's NJ Outdoors portal at njportal.com. Popular Pine Barrens sites at Wharton, Bass River, and Brendan Byrne go quickly for summer weekends, so setting a calendar reminder for the release date is the safest approach.
