Campgrounds and RV parks near Prattsburgh, NY

Keuka Lake anchors most trip plans. Keuka is one of the warmer Finger Lakes and a popular place for swimming and lakeside relaxing, with hiking, boating, and fishing all available at the state park. The park has an eight-slip marina for launching and docking boats, with slips available on a first-come, first-served basis. Wine touring is the other big draw. Keuka Lake State Park has access to both the Keuka and Seneca Lake wine trails, which feature many special events and tastings. Hammondsport, on Keuka's south end, offers a walkable village square with shops and restaurants. Day trips reach farther afield. Watkins Glen State Park is a short drive from the area and is famous for its gorge and waterfalls. The Corning Museum of Glass and Letchworth State Park are also within reach.

The camping season here is short and clearly defined. Keuka Lake State Park's camping season runs from mid-May through mid-October. Peak swimming and water activities fall within that window, and the small beach can get busy during summer and holiday weekends. Private parks such as Hammondsport / Bath KOA Resort and The Finger Lakes Campground typically follow a similar spring-to-fall window, so travelers should confirm exact opening dates directly with each operator. Summer brings warm days, humid afternoons, and the busiest reservation demand. Spring and early fall are quieter, with cooler nights and fewer bugs, and fall foliage across the Finger Lakes hills typically peaks in early to mid-October. In winter, most RV campgrounds close, while area trails see cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing. Travelers arriving between November and April should confirm dates and available services directly with the operator before towing in.

Sites vary widely between the state park and private options. At Keuka Lake State Park, three camping loops sit on a hill above the lake, with grassy, generally level sites, picnic tables, and fire rings; tree cover and shrub plantings provide some privacy. No sites are directly on the lakefront, and water is provided through shared spigots serving multiple sites rather than individual hookups. RV renters should note the utility differences. State-park sites offer electric on some loops but no sewer hookups, so plan on using the dump station near the entrance. Private parks such as Hammondsport / Bath KOA Resort typically offer full hookups, laundry, and Wi-Fi. Campfires must be attended at all times, and standard New York State Park rules apply for quiet hours and pet leashing. Confirm generator hours with the individual campground on arrival.
