July is typically the warmest month with average highs near 28C, while June is the wettest month, so rain gear and site drainage matter. Elliott State Park has 25 rustic campsites that suit tents and small trailers, with no electric or full hookups, but modern restrooms and a sanitary dump station are provided. Curwensville Lake has 135 campsites ranging from primitive tent sites to RV-friendly spots with electric hookups, plus three cabins, and can accommodate rigs as long as about 60 feet at some sites. Woodland Campground offers full-hookup sites, shaded and open options, and cabin rentals. Cell coverage is inconsistent in the surrounding state forest, so downloading park maps before arrival is wise. Firewood should be sourced locally to protect the forest from invasive insects such as the emerald ash borer, and all firewood should be burned prior to departure.
