Campgrounds and RV parks near Helotes, TX

Hiking and mountain biking dominate the outdoor calendar. Government Canyon State Natural Area has more than 40 miles of trails across rolling grasslands and rugged canyon country, plus a route to the only known dinosaur footprints on public land in Bexar County along the Joe Johnston Route to the Zizelmann House. Trails close when wet, so check status before driving out. In town, John T. Floore's Country Store hosts live music on the Helotes Old Town strip. San Antonio's core attractions, including the River Walk, the Alamo, SeaWorld, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas, are within a short drive.
