Kingsville sits in Kleberg County on the South Texas coastal plain, about 40 miles south of Corpus Christi and roughly 30 miles inland from the Laguna Madre. The town is best known as the headquarters of the historic King Ranch, which covers about 825,000 acres of working ranchland surrounding the city. RV travelers use Kingsville as a base for exploring the Gulf coast, birding routes, and inland ranch country. RV parks in and around town lean toward full-hookup, level, pull-through sites geared to winter Texans and long-stay travelers. Options include CM Nature's Own RV Resort and Countryside RV Park of South Texas on the outskirts of Kingsville, plus Seawind RV Resort On The Bay and Rivera Beach Trailer Park east toward Baffin Bay for anglers who want water access. Leopard Mobile Home and RV Park offers a longer-term style stay for travelers heading north toward Corpus Christi. Most visitors combine a night or two in Kingsville with day trips to Padre Island National Seashore and the Coastal Bend.

Private RV parks around Kingsville, including CM Nature's Own RV Resort, Countryside RV Park of South Texas, Seawind RV Resort On The Bay, Rivera Beach Trailer Park, and Leopard Mobile Home and RV Park, generally take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. For winter stays from December through March, book several months ahead, as monthly sites go quickly. Padre Island National Seashore campgrounds, including Malaquite and Bird Island Basin, operate first-come, first-served and do not accept reservations through Recreation.gov. A park entrance pass is required, and self-serve kiosks handle camping registration at the campground entrances. Texas State Park sites in the broader region, such as Mustang Island and Goose Island, are booked through the Texas Parks and Wildlife reservation system up to five months in advance.
