Campgrounds and RV parks near Woodville, WI

Woodville sits in St. Croix County in western Wisconsin, roughly a half-hour east of the St. Croix River and the Minnesota border. The village works well as a quiet base for RV travelers, with easy access to Interstate 94 and a mix of private RV parks and state park campgrounds within a short drive. The closest options are private: Irvington Campground and RV Park and Twin Springs Resort Campground sit near Woodville itself, while Rivers Edge Campground offers riverfront sites in the surrounding area. For public land camping, Willow River State Park near Hudson features spectacular views of Willow Falls and the Willow River Gorge, with prairie remnants, miles of scenic hiking trails, family and group campgrounds, and lakeside picnic areas across 2,800 acres of rolling countryside. Across the state line, Frontenac State Park sits above Lake Pepin on the Mississippi River, adding a second state park system worth planning around. Together, these campgrounds cover the range from full-hookup private sites to rustic bluff-top state park loops.

State park sites in the area use two separate reservation systems. Willow River State Park sites are reserved through the Wisconsin State Park reservation portal, with campsite reservations opening 11 months in advance. Vehicle admission permits are required to enter the park, in addition to camping reservation fees. Frontenac State Park uses the Minnesota system. Reservations are required and can be made up to 120 days in advance through the Minnesota state parks reservation system, and a Minnesota state park vehicle permit is required for entry, with daily or annual permits available online, in person, or by phone. Private campgrounds such as Irvington Campground and RV Park, Twin Springs Resort Campground, and Rivers Edge Campground handle bookings directly through their own websites or by phone, and generally have shorter lead times than the state parks.
