The process to rent Bryan's Travel Trailer via RVezy was smooth and without surprises. Bryan responded promptly to any questions on our part. Appreciated the un-eventful process of Bryan delivering the trailer, hooking it up to electrical/water, walking us thru the trailer amenities, and picking up the trailer at the end of the rental. Overall, a very enjoyable experience. Looking forward to renting from Bryan during next year's retreat. Thank-You Bryan!

Tudor is a great host. He took his time to explain everything to us. He was always available if we had any questions about the RV as it was our first RV trip. The RV is clean, comfortable, and easy to ride because of its size. We enjoyed our trip.

We loved driving this van up to the redwoods with our basset hound! Everything was very new, we felt comfortable in the van. My boyfriend is 6’2 and our basset hound is big, the inside bed was a bit snug so we all fit comfortably on the bed at the top- it was so nice having that as an option. The generator, stove, inside fans and lighting worked great. The only issue we came across was we needed a hookup in order to use the running water for sink and shower- which our campsites did not have. We liked the screen for the van door to keep mosquitos and bugs out. The cabinets and drawers fit all our supplies for an 5 day trip and there was a dresser which was a nice bonus. The only draw back was the drawers opened and closed while driving, so to help with this we placed tape and zip ties to keep them still and closed. Overall we had a great experience with this van and appreciate the quick communication Le had with us.

The Solis gave us a great variety of options in our travels down the coast. We stayed at some campgrounds along the way but also did a lot of dispersed camping in some amazing locations. Mark was great and I want to thank him publicly for his flexibility

Can I take my RV rental from Crescent City across state lines or into Canada?

Crossing into Oregon from Crescent City is straightforward and a popular choice, with Brookings, Gold Beach, and Crater Lake all within reach. Always confirm cross state travel and any mileage notes with your host before booking. Travel into Canada is possible on some listings but requires advance host approval since insurance and border requirements differ, and RVezy rentals cannot be driven into Mexico. Message the host directly if you are planning a Pacific Northwest road trip.

How do I budget for fuel on a Crescent City RV trip?

Most motorhome rentals around Crescent City average roughly 8 to 12 miles per gallon, while smaller campervans and trailers can do better. Fuel is widely available along US-101, but prices in remote Del Norte County are often higher than the California average, so it helps to fuel up in larger towns when possible. Apps like GasBuddy can show real time prices, and adding a small buffer to your fuel budget is wise if you plan side trips into Oregon or deeper into the redwoods.

How far in advance should I book my Crescent City campground?

For summer stays and holiday weekends, reserve sites at Jedediah Smith Redwoods and Mill Creek up to six months in advance through ReserveCalifornia, since California state park reservations open on a rolling six month window. The Crescent City/Redwoods KOA also fills early for July and August. For more spontaneous trips, Florence Keller County Park and private RV parks closer to town often have shorter lead times and weekday availability.

What are local driving conditions like around Crescent City for RVs?

Driving an RV around Crescent City is generally easy, with US-101 offering wide, scenic lanes and paved access roads into the main redwood parks. Watch for coastal fog in the mornings and evenings and for Roosevelt elk near park entrances and meadows. Avoid taking larger RVs on Howland Hill Road, which is narrow, unpaved, and winding, and instead use the paved park routes. Arriving at camp before dusk makes setup easier and helps you spot wildlife safely.

What hookups and amenities can I expect at Crescent City area campgrounds?

Hookup options vary by campground around Crescent City. The KOA Holiday offers full hookup sites with electric, water, and sewer plus wifi and laundry, while Jedediah Smith and Mill Creek state park campgrounds do not offer hookups but include potable water and dump stations on site. Most private RV parks in town have at least electric and water. It is a good idea to fill fresh water and empty tanks before heading into the state parks for longer stays.
