2021 Grand Design Travel Trailer
Our family trip was made extra special with this beautiful trailer. Mark had everything fully stocked with kitchen supplies, linens, and outdoor chairs, tables, propane, candles, lighters, etc. He arrived early and was very prompt to respond whenever we had questions or needed anything. The trailer is a great design for a large group with dogs. We will definitely use Marks trailer in the future when we are in the area.

Most RVezy hosts set a daily mileage allowance, and some listings offer RV rental with unlimited mileage out of Morro Bay, so look for that option when comparing rigs. Morro Bay is an excellent base for California road trips: it's about 35 miles north to Hearst Castle in San Simeon, 95 miles south to Santa Barbara, and roughly 240 miles to Yosemite Valley via Highway 41 and Highway 99. Morro Bay is surrounded by excellent RV campgrounds. Top picks include Morro Bay State Park Campground (bay views, hiking, and a heron rookery), Morro Dunes RV Park (steps from the beach and Embarcadero), and Cypress Morro Bay RV Park (a convenient base near downtown). For more seclusion, Montana de Oro State Park's Islay Creek Campground just south of town offers dramatic cliffs and quiet trails, though sites are smaller and best suited to compact RVs. Reserve early for summer through ReserveCalifornia, as oceanfront sites fill quickly.

Morro Bay enjoys a mild coastal climate year-round, with foggy mornings, sunny afternoons, and daytime highs typically between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit. For fewer crowds, clearer afternoons, and great sunsets, target late April to early June or September and October. Even in January, daytime temperatures often sit in the upper 50s to low 60s. A bonus for fall and winter visitors: monarch butterflies cluster at nearby Pismo State Beach from November through February.

You’ll get hands-on tips for driving, hookups, slide-outs, and more before you hit the road. There’s no rush to figure it out on your own, and you can message your host with any questions. Morro Bay’s laid-back vibe is perfect for a first-time RV trip.
rvezy.com/helpWhat happens if I have a problem on the road during my Morro Bay RV trip?

Your host is also reachable by message for RV-specific questions, and RVezy's support team can step in if you need extra help. Your trip is supported from pickup to return.

reservecalifornia.com/What are driving and parking conditions like for RVs in Morro Bay?
Driving and parking an RV in Morro Bay is relatively easygoing compared to larger California cities. Streets near the Embarcadero are walkable and traffic is light, but watch for coastal fog and crosswinds along Highway 1. Morro Dunes RV Park features laundry facilities and easy beach access, while Morro Bay State Park Campground has clean restrooms, a marina, and a museum of natural history nearby. For dumping tanks or refilling fresh water, use designated dump stations at the state park and most private RV parks in town. WiFi is campground-dependent, but you can always ask your host about mobile hotspot add-ons. Need a generator, outdoor grill, or extra linens? Many hosts offer these as easy-to-book extras right on your listing.
visitmorrobay.org/lodging/What add-ons and options are popular in Morro Bay RV rentals, and how does pickup work?
Morro Bay RV rentals often include popular add-ons like beach chairs, bikes, kitchen kits, and full delivery and setup at your chosen campground. At pickup, your host will walk you through the RV's features, including the slide-outs, water and waste systems, generator, and driving tips. Mileage and generator hour policies are clearly listed on each RVezy rental before you book. If you need paddleboards, outdoor grills, or pet packages, many hosts offer these as extras so your campervan rental in Morro Bay fits your trip perfectly.
