Renting with Oscar (J&J Rent-A-Toy) was a delight! He was prompt, extremely couerteous and professional! The trailer was delivered at the time promised and setup with everything ready for us to walk through the door and have a great experience. My wife and I absolutely loved the trailer! It was clean, smelled great, extremely simple to use, (especially after a thorough walk through with Oscar) and he was available to answer any questions or concerns at all times! I would definitely rent this trailer again! Thanks again Oscar! We had a great weekend with friends and family and many complimented the trailer and said how they would love to have it!

The whole RV rental process was made extremely easy because of the Houst we had. Everything about the vehicle was explained well. The motorhome was easy to drive and park. The unit was also well maintained clean inside and out. It made the whole experience with the family so much more enjoyable. Once again, I’d really like to thank the Houst for all they did to help us enjoy our experience with their camper.

Where can I park or camp in an RV near Ventura?

Ventura has excellent coastal and inland RV camping. Top options include Ventura Beach RV Resort, Emma Wood State Beach, McGrath State Beach, Faria Beach County Park, Hobson Beach County Park, Rincon Parkway oceanfront sites, and Lake Casitas Recreation Area. State parks book through ReserveCalifornia and county beaches through Ventura County Parks. Overnight parking on Ventura city streets is generally not allowed, so always stay at a designated campground or RV park.

When's the best time for an RV trip to Ventura, CA?

Can I take my RV across state lines from Ventura?

Yes. How do I budget for gas on a Ventura RV rental?

Most motorhomes get roughly 8 to 12 miles per gallon, and campervans often get 14 to 20. California gas prices typically run well above the national average, so check the latest figures before your trip. Use GasBuddy or similar apps to find competitive stations around Ventura and along Highway 101. To stretch your fuel budget, consider a campervan rental in Ventura, plan stops near larger fueling stations that fit RVs, and avoid long detours.

How far in advance should I book Ventura campgrounds for my RV rental?

For the best campgrounds near Ventura, book 3 to 6 months ahead for summer weekends and holidays. Coastal favorites like Emma Wood State Beach, McGrath State Beach, Faria Beach, Hobson Beach, and Rincon Parkway sell out quickly, and California State Park sites open six months in advance through ReserveCalifornia. Ventura Beach RV Resort and Lake Casitas accept online reservations directly. Spring and fall usually have better last-minute availability.
reservecalifornia.com/Web/Default.aspx

What local driving conditions should I expect in Ventura?

Driving an RV around Ventura is generally easy. Highway 101 and the Pacific Coast Highway are the main routes and are RV-friendly, though summer weekends and afternoons can be busy. Coastal winds can pick up along Rincon Parkway and near the harbor, so reduce speed in high-profile vehicles. Downtown Ventura streets can be tight for larger Class A or Class C rigs, so use designated RV parks for overnight stays and watch for posted clearance and parking signs.

What amenities do Ventura area campgrounds provide for RVs?

Amenities vary by campground. Ventura Beach RV Resort offers full hookups, showers, laundry, and a pool. Lake Casitas Recreation Area has water and electric sites, a swim area, and picnic facilities. Rincon Parkway is oceanfront dry camping with no hookups but unbeatable views. Emma Wood and McGrath State Beaches typically offer basic sites with restrooms and fire rings. Bring a freshwater hose, sewer hose, and a 30 to 50 amp electrical adapter to be ready for any site.

What features come with Ventura RV rentals, will I have a kitchen, bathroom, and AC?

Class C motorhomes and travel trailers typically include a kitchen with fridge, stove, and microwave, a full bathroom with shower, air conditioning, multiple sleeping areas, and a dinette. Many also include a generator, outdoor setup, or WiFi hotspot. Each RVezy listing shows seatbelt count, amenities, and pet policies, and you can message the host directly to confirm details before you book.

Common add-ons for a Ventura RV rental include beach chairs, kayaks or paddleboards, bicycles, propane fire pits, linen and kitchen packages, and generators. Many hosts also offer delivery and setup, early pickup, or late drop-off for an extra fee, which is especially handy for festival trips or busy summer weekends. How does payment work, and what should I expect for the security deposit on Ventura RV rentals?

Booking is handled securely through RVezy using major credit cards, with no need to pay hosts directly. A refundable security deposit is authorized separately from your rental payment before the trip starts, and the amount is shown on the listing before you book. As long as the RV is returned in the same condition per the rental terms, the deposit is released back to you after the trip. This keeps payment simple and your booking protected.
