The awning was not operational. And was not told until pick up. Was told he is waiting on parts to repair. We had to buy a 10x10 pop up canapy. There was also a soft spot in the bathroom by the shower. We did not use the bathroom. We used the RV park restrooms. Other than that it was great!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Crowley, LA

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Crowley, LA?

RV rental in Crowley, LA is genuinely affordable compared to bigger Gulf Coast destinations. On RVezy, towable trailers average around $120 per night, while motorhomes run closer to $200 per night, and most hosts offer 10 to 20 percent off on weekly or monthly bookings. For a cheap RV rental Crowley families can lock in, aim for the quieter shoulder months of February or late September, when demand dips between festivals. What license do I need to rent an RV in Crowley, LA?

Good news: your regular Class D driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Crowley, LA. Louisiana does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special RV endorsement for the motorhomes and travel trailers listed on RVezy. You will need to be 25 or older and complete RVezy's quick ID verification through the platform before pickup. Visiting from another country? Bring your home license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your local auto association. Most first-time renters in Acadia Parish are surprised at how simple the paperwork really is.

What is the cancellation policy if my plans change?

You can plan your Crowley RV trip with confidence. RVezy (not individual hosts) sets the cancellation policy for every reservation, and refund eligibility depends on how far you are from your trip start date. Can I bring my dog on an RV rental in Crowley, LA?

Yes, plenty of tails are welcome. To find a pet-friendly RV rental in Crowley, toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy and you will see motorhomes and travel trailers ready for your dog or cat. Once you arrive, Acadia Parish is wonderfully pup-friendly: leashed dogs are welcome on the walking trails at Crowley City Park, and many local RV parks such as Poche's RV Park & Fish-N-Camp near Breaux Bridge allow pets at the site. Can the RV be delivered to my campground or home in Crowley?

Yes, and it is the easiest way to do a first-time Crowley RV trip. Use the Delivery filter when searching to see hosts who offer this option. Delivery fees are set by the host and depend on distance, with most local drops within Acadia Parish staying affordable. This is a game-changer if you are nervous about towing on I-10 or backing into a tight site at Lakeview Park & Beach in nearby Eunice.

From Crowley you can easily reach Lafayette (25 miles east), Lake Charles (60 miles west), New Orleans (about 155 miles east on I-10), or Avery Island and Tabasco country (around 45 miles south) without burning through mileage. Where are the best campgrounds near Crowley, LA?

You're spoiled for choice in Cajun Country. The best campgrounds near Crowley include Mr. Bee's RV Park right in town with full hookups and easy I-10 access, Frog City RV Park in Duson (15 minutes east) known for its big-rig pull-throughs and Cajun hospitality, Poche's RV Park & Fish-N-Camp near Breaux Bridge with on-site fishing ponds, Maxie's Campground LLC for a quieter rural feel, and Lakeview Park & Beach in Eunice with a sandy swim beach. When is the best time of year to rent an RV in Crowley?

Spring and fall are the sweet spot. From mid-March through May, daytime highs sit in the comfortable 70s to mid-80s with lower humidity, blooming crawfish boils, and packed Zydeco festivals across Acadia Parish. October is equally magical, with highs around 80°F and the legendary International Rice Festival drawing tens of thousands to downtown Crowley on the third weekend of the month. Summers (June through August) hit 90°F with heavy humidity and afternoon thunderstorms, while winter is mild (highs in the upper 50s to low 60s) and a great budget window. Snow is essentially nonexistent here. Book your Crowley RV rental 6 to 8 weeks ahead of Rice Festival weekend to snag the best inventory.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I know what to do?

You'll be set up for success from minute one. First time renting an RV in Crowley is genuinely easy on RVezy because every host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through the propane, water systems, slide-outs, generator, leveling jacks, and dump procedure until you feel confident. You can message hosts before booking with any question, and 24/7 roadside assistance is included if anything pops up on the road. Many Crowley-area hosts also send a personalized video walkthrough ahead of time. Pro tip: start with a smaller Class C motorhome or a 20 to 25-foot travel trailer for your first trip, since they handle like a large pickup on Acadia Parish back roads.

What happens if I break down or have trouble on the road?

You are never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, covering flat tires, lockouts, jump-starts, towing, and fuel delivery. If something mechanical comes up on I-10 between Crowley and Lafayette, or out at a remote spot near Lake Arthur, one phone call gets help dispatched. RVezy customer support is reachable before, during, and after every trip. Save the roadside number to your phone right after booking so you can truly relax.

Can I take my Crowley RV rental on a road trip to Texas or New Orleans?

An RV road trip from Crowley is one of the best ways to see the Gulf South. You can roll east on I-10 to New Orleans (about 155 miles, roughly 2.5 hours), west to Houston (about 210 miles), or south to the Creole Nature Trail and Holly Beach. Cross-border travel into Mexico is not permitted because insurance coverage does not extend there. Travel into Canada may be possible with host approval, though it is a long haul from Acadia Parish. Confirm your route and any cross-state travel with the host through RVezy messaging before booking. Popular weekend loop: Crowley to Avery Island to Grand Isle.

What should I budget for fuel on a Crowley RV trip?

Fuel is one of Louisiana's hidden advantages, since gas prices in Acadia Parish typically run 20 to 40 cents below the national average. Plan on roughly 8 to 10 miles per gallon (MPG) for a Class C motorhome, 6 to 8 MPG for a Class A, and 12 to 16 MPG for your tow vehicle if you're renting a travel trailer. For a 4-day, 400-mile loop around Cajun Country from your Crowley RV rental, budget roughly $150 to $250 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up at the Pilot or Love's Travel Stop at the I-10 Egan exit just west of Crowley, where prices are often cheaper than in Lafayette and the lots easily fit big rigs.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground near Crowley?

Earlier is better, but you've got options. For International Rice Festival weekend in mid-October, book your campsite 4 to 6 months ahead because parks like Frog City RV Park and Mr. Bee's RV Park fill fast. For Mardi Gras season in February and crawfish festival weekends in spring, aim for 6 to 8 weeks out. Outside those peaks, a 1 to 2-week lead time is usually fine at private parks around Crowley. Louisiana state parks (like Lake Fausse Pointe, 60 miles east) use the official ReserveLouisiana system and open bookings 13 months in advance. Pro tip: stack a Tuesday-to-Thursday stay to enjoy quieter sites at lower midweek rates.

What are the driving conditions like around Crowley?

Driving an RV around Crowley is refreshingly mellow. The terrain is pancake-flat prairie and rice fields, I-10 runs straight through town with wide shoulders, and traffic is light compared to Baton Rouge or New Orleans. Watch for sudden afternoon thunderstorms from June through September (pull off if visibility drops), and be aware that low-lying stretches of LA-13 and LA-35 can flood during heavy rain. Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, so check the National Weather Service Lake Charles office before any late-summer trip. Bridge clearances on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge along I-10 are RV-friendly at 16 feet plus. Locals drive courteously, so just take your time and enjoy the bayou views.

What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Crowley?

Cajun Country RV parks punch above their weight. Most full-service campgrounds near Crowley offer 30 and 50-amp electric, fresh water, sewer hookups at the site, dump stations, hot showers, laundry, and Wi-Fi. Several, like Poche's RV Park near Breaux Bridge, add stocked fishing ponds, pavilions, and cookout areas perfect for a crawfish boil. You'll find dump stations and potable water fills at Mr. Bee's RV Park and Frog City RV Park, both just minutes from I-10. Propane refills are easy at the U-Haul on N. Parkerson Avenue in Crowley. Pro tip: ask for a shaded site under the live oaks because July sun in Acadia Parish is no joke.

What's inside a typical Crowley RV rental?

More creature comforts than you might expect. A typical campervan rental Crowley or motorhome on RVezy includes sleeping for 2 to 8, a fully equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, stove, microwave, and often an oven), a bathroom with toilet and shower, dinette, roof-mounted air conditioning (essential for Louisiana summers), furnace heat, a TV, and seatbelted seating for travel. Many hosts add Wi-Fi hotspots, outdoor speakers, propane grills, and onboard generators for off-grid stays. Each listing on RVezy clearly shows the floor plan, sleeping count, and included gear so you can match it to your group. Pro tip: filter by Sleeps count and confirm the number of seatbelts equals your travel party.

What add-ons and pickup options are available with Crowley RV rentals?

Hosts make it easy to customize. Common add-ons when you rent an RV in Crowley include bed and bath linen packages, camp chairs and tables, propane grills, bike racks, generator hours, kayak racks, and pet cleaning fees, with most extras running $25 to $100 for the trip. Pickup is usually at the host's home in or near Crowley, with delivery and setup available for an added fee from many listings. Mileage policies typically allow 100 to 150 free miles per day, with per-mile fees beyond that, and some listings offer unlimited mileage. Pro tip: bundle linens, a generator, and delivery for a true turnkey first-time Cajun Country experience.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Everything is handled securely through the RVezy platform, with no cash or side deals with the host. You pay your trip total (rental, protection, fees, and any add-ons) by credit card at booking, and a refundable security deposit is pre-authorized on your card before pickup. The deposit is separate from your booking payment and is released after the host inspects the RV on return and confirms no damage or excessive cleaning is needed. To avoid issues, take a quick walkaround video at pickup and dropoff in Crowley. Pro tip: use a credit card with a generous limit so the hold does not tie up your everyday spending during your Acadia Parish adventure.
