2022 Jayco Class C
Jason and Gina were excellent hosts.I don't want to say too much in case we were being spoilt but they are genuinely great people. RV was spotless, clean, cooled and full of water and petrol. We were newbies to RVing and any questions we had Jason answered quickly by what's app. Pick up and drop off were flawless and times were very flexible. Jason also dropped us back to the airport which was very handy. We would recommend hiring from Jason and Gina and he has some other trailers he rents out also.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Clarence, NY
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Clarence, NY?
An RV rental in Clarence, NY is one of the most budget-friendly ways to explore Western New York. On RVezy, towable travel trailers average around $125 to $175 per night, while Class C motorhomes typically run $200 to $275 per night, and many hosts offer 10 to 20 percent off weekly or monthly stays. For a cheap RV rental Clarence travelers love, book a travel trailer mid-week in May or September when summer demand and Buffalo Bills traffic are lighter. Pro tip: filter by Instant Book and bundle add-ons like kitchen kits or generators directly with your host to lock in the best total price before peak summer.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Clarence,%20New%20YorkWhat license do I need to rent an RV in Clarence, NY?
Great news for first-time renters: your regular New York State Class D driver's license (or equivalent from your home state or country) is all you need to rent an RV in Clarence, NY. There's no special RV endorsement or Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required for the Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes, and travel trailers on RVezy. You'll need to be at least 25 years old, and ID verification happens right inside the booking flow. Visiting from overseas to see Niagara Falls? Pick up an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home auto club before you fly in and you're road-ready the moment you land at Buffalo Niagara International Airport.
dmv.ny.gov/driver-license/driver-licensesIs RVezy's protection package included when I rent an RV in Clarence?
Yes, every RV rental in Clarence, NY automatically includes an RVezy renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit I-90 with peace of mind. The protection plan covers damage to the RV with real financial protection, not just a checklist. During checkout you choose your coverage level, so you decide how much extra cushion you want. That means whether you're parked near Darien Lake or driving the Niagara Scenic Parkway, you can focus on s'mores and sunsets instead of worrying about the small stuff.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if I need to cancel my Clarence RV rental?
Booking your Clarence, NY RV trip is low-risk. RVezy (not the individual host) sets the cancellation policy, and every reservation includes a money-back grace period right after booking so you have breathing room if your plans shift. Refund eligibility after that depends on how far out you are from your trip start date. If a host ever cancels on you, RVezy will refund you or provide travel credits. Pro tip: book early to lock in the best Class C for Bills tailgates or Niagara Falls weekends, then use the grace period to finalize your dates with confidence. Full details live on the RVezy Help Center.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Clarence, NY?
Absolutely, a pet-friendly RV rental in Clarence is easy to find. Toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy and you'll see plenty of hosts who welcome dogs. Once you're rolling, your pup will love the Clarence Bike Path along the old Erie Canal towpath, the trails at Como Lake Park in nearby Lancaster, and the leashed-dog-friendly paths at Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve in Depew. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm pet fees and any size guidelines, and pack a collapsible water bowl, since summer humidity in Western New York can climb fast.
parks.ny.gov/regulations/Can the RV be delivered to my campground or driveway in Clarence?
Yes, RV delivery in Clarence is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-timers and tailgaters heading to Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. Many Western New York hosts will drop the RV at your campground (think Niagara Falls/Grand Island KOA or Darien Lakes State Park), level it, hook up water and power, and walk you through every system so you never have to back into a site. Filter for Delivery on the search page to see hosts who offer it, then message them for a delivery quote based on mileage. It's the easiest way to start your Clarence, NY RV trip stress-free.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Clarence,%20New%20YorkHow far can I travel from Clarence on an RV road trip?
You're perfectly positioned for an epic RV road trip from Clarence. Niagara Falls State Park is about 29 miles northwest (roughly 45 minutes), Letchworth State Park (the Grand Canyon of the East) is around 60 miles south, Watkins Glen and the Finger Lakes wineries sit roughly 130 miles southeast, Cleveland is about 200 miles southwest along I-90, and the Adirondacks are around 270 miles east. Many hosts offer 100 to 150 free miles per night, and some advertise RV rental with unlimited mileage for longer trips. Pro tip: message the host with your full route and ask about a flat-rate mileage package, it almost always saves money.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Clarence,%20New%20YorkWhat are the best campgrounds near Clarence, NY?
You're spoiled for choice when it comes to RV camping Clarence travelers rave about. Darien Lakes State Park (about 22 miles southeast) offers wooded electric sites near the Six Flags Darien Lake theme park. Niagara Falls/Grand Island KOA Holiday (around 25 miles west) has full hookups and shuttle options toward the Falls. Branches of Niagara Campground on Grand Island is great for families with pools and resort amenities. Letchworth State Park's campgrounds (about 60 miles south) put you near the gorge rim. Book early, since New York State Parks open reservations up to nine months in advance.
parks.ny.gov/camping/When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Clarence?
Late May through early October is prime time for an RV rental in Clarence, NY. Summer days (June to August) typically run 75 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit with warm evenings perfect for campfires, while September and early October bring crisp 60 to 70 degree days and spectacular Western New York fall foliage along the Niagara Escarpment. Winters are genuinely snowy thanks to lake-effect snow off Lake Erie, with January averages in the low 20s, so most campgrounds close from late October to mid-May. Pro tip: book a September trip to catch Letchworth's fall colors, lighter crowds at Niagara Falls, and the tail end of Buffalo Bills tailgate season all in one.
weather.gov/buf/I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay starting in Clarence?
You've got this, and Clarence is actually a great place for first time renting an RV. The area is mostly flat, with wide suburban roads along Main Street (Route 5) and easy on-ramps to I-90 and the 990. Every RVezy host gives you a thorough walkthrough at pickup covering driving tips, leveling, hookups, tanks, and propane, and you can text or call them throughout your trip. If big-rig nerves still creep in, choose a Class B campervan or small travel trailer (under 25 feet) and add delivery so you skip highway driving entirely. Pro tip: practice a few turns in the parking lot at the Eastern Hills Mall before heading out.
dmv.ny.gov/driving-safelyWhat happens if something goes wrong with my RV on the road?
You're never alone out there. Every RV rental in Clarence, NY includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the RVezy protection plan, covering common issues like flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, and towing whether you're parked near Niagara Falls or driving through the Southern Tier. Your host is also just a message or call away for quick questions about the awning, water pump, or generator. For medical or police emergencies, dial 911. Save the RVezy support contact info in your phone before pickup and you'll roll with total confidence.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I drive my Clarence RV rental across the border into Canada?
Cross-border trips from Clarence to Canada are a real option, since the Peace Bridge and Lewiston-Queenston Bridge are both under 35 miles away and Toronto is just 100 miles up the QEW. However, cross-border travel must be approved by your specific host because it affects insurance coverage, so message the host before booking to confirm. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental. Bring your passport (or NEXUS card), proof of rental authorization, and your driver's license. Pro tip: Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries and Niagara Falls Ontario make a fantastic two-night side trip from any motorhome rental Clarence travelers book.
cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/know-before-you-goHow much should I budget for fuel on a Clarence RV trip?
Fuel is the biggest variable in your budget, but it's predictable. Class C motorhomes around Clarence average 8 to 10 miles per gallon on gasoline, Class B campervans hit 18 to 22 mpg, and tow setups depend on your vehicle. New York State gasoline prices typically run a bit above the national average, so check GasBuddy before you leave; the Costco on Sheridan Drive and the Sam's Club on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst are usually the cheapest fill-ups near Clarence. Pro tip: top off in Pennsylvania (about 60 miles south on I-90) if you're heading that way, since fuel taxes are noticeably lower across the state line.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Clarence?
Book sooner rather than later, especially for summer weekends. New York State Parks (including Darien Lakes and Letchworth) open reservations up to nine months in advance through ReserveAmerica, and prime July and August sites at Niagara Falls/Grand Island KOA often sell out by spring. For Buffalo Bills home-game weekends, tailgate-friendly RV lots near Highmark Stadium can fill three to four months early. Pro tip: if a state park is full, search private parks like Branches of Niagara or Niagara County Camping Resort, then look on RVezy for hosts comfortable with game-day parking and rallies.
newyorkstateparks.reserveamerica.com/What are the local driving conditions like around Clarence?
Driving around Clarence is refreshingly easy by RV standards. Main Street (Route 5), Transit Road (Route 78), and the I-90 corridor are wide, flat, and well maintained, so even a 30-foot Class C feels manageable. Watch for two things: lake-effect snow squalls from Lake Erie between November and March that can drop visibility fast on the Thruway, and rush-hour congestion on Transit Road near the Eastern Hills Mall on weekday afternoons. Low bridges are minimal in this area, but always check clearance signs heading into downtown Buffalo. Pro tip: use I-990 to bypass city traffic when heading north toward Niagara Falls from your Clarence pickup.
511ny.org/What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Clarence?
Most campgrounds near Clarence offer everything you need for an easy stay. Full-hookup sites with 30 and 50 amp electric, fresh water, and sewer are standard at private parks like Niagara Falls/Grand Island KOA and Branches of Niagara Campground. State parks like Darien Lakes typically offer electric and water with central dump stations rather than sewer at each site. You'll find potable water fills, dump stations, hot showers, laundry, and Wi-Fi at most private resorts. Pro tip: Camping World on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga sells any propane or RV supplies you've forgotten before you head out.
parks.ny.gov/parks/darienlakes/What's inside a typical RV rental in Clarence, NY?
You'll feel right at home. A typical motorhome rental Clarence guests book includes a queen or king bed, a convertible dinette or bunks for extra sleepers, a full kitchen with a fridge, stove, microwave, sink, and cookware, plus a bathroom with shower and toilet. Most rigs have air conditioning, a propane furnace (key for those cool Western New York fall nights), a flat-screen TV, and seatbelts for every traveling passenger. Many hosts include Wi-Fi hotspots, outdoor speakers, or onboard generators as add-ons. Campervan rental Clarence options like Class Bs are perfect for couples wanting a smaller footprint. Pro tip: check the listing photos for the exact bed layout before booking, especially for a family RV trip Clarence weekend.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Clarence,%20New%20YorkWhat add-ons and pickup options can I get with my RV rental?
Hosts in Clarence offer a long list of helpful extras to customize your trip. Common add-ons include camping chairs and tables, bedding and linen packages, kitchen kits, bike racks, generators, propane fills, Wi-Fi hotspots, and pet packages. Pickup is usually at the host's home in the Clarence, Amherst, or Williamsville area, and many hosts also offer delivery to local campgrounds or to Buffalo Niagara International Airport (about 12 miles away). Many hosts offer 100 to 150 free miles per night. Pro tip: message the host with your full itinerary and request a custom mileage and add-on bundle, it's the easiest way to save.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Clarence,%20New%20YorkHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy's platform with a credit or debit card at booking, never directly to the host in cash. Your rental total covers the nightly rate, RVezy service fees, your chosen protection plan, taxes, and any add-ons you select. A refundable security deposit is handled separately from your booking payment and held on your card before pickup. The deposit is released after your trip once the host confirms the RV came back in good shape. Pro tip: take a quick video walkaround of the RV at pickup and dropoff, it's the fastest way to avoid any deposit disputes.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksAre RV rentals available in Clarence during winter?
Yes, winter RV adventures from Clarence are absolutely doable for the right traveler. While most local campgrounds close from late October to mid-May, some RVezy hosts rent four-season rigs with heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, and propane furnaces built for lake-effect snow country. Popular winter uses include Buffalo Bills tailgates at Highmark Stadium and snowmobiling trips toward Ellicottville and Holiday Valley (about 45 miles south). Use shore power whenever possible and keep tanks treated with RV antifreeze. Pro tip: message hosts before booking to confirm cold-weather readiness and ask about any year-round private parks that keep a winterized loop open for hardy travelers.
