2022 Jayco Class C
Jason and Gina were excellent hosts.I don't want to say too much in case we were being spoilt but they are genuinely great people. RV was spotless, clean, cooled and full of water and petrol. We were newbies to RVing and any questions we had Jason answered quickly by what's app. Pick up and drop off were flawless and times were very flexible. Jason also dropped us back to the airport which was very handy. We would recommend hiring from Jason and Gina and he has some other trailers he rents out also.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Harris Hill, NY
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Harris Hill, NY?
Renting an RV in Harris Hill is more affordable than most people expect, with travel trailers typically averaging around $125 to $175 per night and motorhomes around $200 to $275 per night in the Buffalo area. Many hosts offer weekly or monthly discounts, making a longer Harris Hill RV trip even better value. To find a cheap RV rental in Harris Hill, filter by price range, consider shoulder-season dates (late April or September), and look at travel trailers if you already have a tow vehicle. Pro tip: booking midweek pickup avoids weekend premiums, and listings near Williamsville and Clarence often deliver right to nearby campgrounds like Niagara Hartland or Darien Lakes for a small fee.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Harris%20Hill%2C%20New%20YorkDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Harris Hill, NY?
Good news: for the vast majority of RVs you can rent in Harris Hill, your regular Class D New York driver's license (or equivalent from your home state or country) is all you need. New York only requires an added 'R' endorsement if the RV's gross vehicle weight rating is over 26,000 pounds, which almost no rental on RVezy hits. You'll also need to meet RVezy's approved driver requirements (generally age 25+), and RVezy verifies your ID right inside the booking flow. Visiting from abroad? Bring your home license plus an International Driving Permit and you're set. Most renters are surprised how simple it is to rent an RV in Harris Hill and just go.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat protection is included with my RV rental in Harris Hill?
Every RV rental in Harris Hill, NY booked through RVezy comes with a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit the road with real peace of mind. You choose your protection level during the booking process, and the plan covers eligible accidental damage to the RV during your trip. Pro tip: review the coverage tiers carefully before you confirm, especially if you're planning longer drives toward Niagara Falls or the Finger Lakes, and pick the level that matches your comfort.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if my plans change? Can I cancel my Harris Hill RV rental?
Yes, you can book with confidence. RVezy (not the individual host) sets the cancellation policy, and there is a money-back grace period right after you book so first-time renters can lock in dates without stress. After that, refund amounts depend on how far out from your trip you cancel, and special circumstances like severe weather are handled by RVezy's support team. If a host cancels, RVezy refunds you or provides travel credits so your trip plans stay on track. Pro tip: if a Lake Erie snowstorm or Buffalo Bills home-game traffic threatens your trip, message RVezy support right away. Booking early for summer Niagara Falls weekends gives you the best selection and the most flexibility.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a Harris Hill RV trip?
Absolutely, pet-friendly RV rental in Harris Hill is easy to find. Just toggle the 'Pet-Friendly' filter on RVezy and you'll see listings from hosts who welcome dogs (some welcome cats too). Western New York is a dream for dog owners: Como Lake Park in Lancaster has shaded loop trails minutes from Harris Hill, Ellicott Creek Park in Tonawanda has off-leash hours, and Letchworth State Park allows leashed dogs on most trails. Many local campgrounds (Niagara Hartland RV Resort and Branches of Niagara) are pet-friendly too. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm pet fees and breed rules, and pack a towel, since Lake Erie beaches can mean sandy paws.
parks.ny.gov/recreation/pets/Can the RV be delivered to me in Harris Hill?
Yes, RV delivery in Harris Hill is one of the easiest ways to start your trip, especially if it's your first time renting an RV. Many hosts around Williamsville, Clarence, Amherst, and greater Buffalo will drive the RV right to your driveway, your campsite at Darien Lakes State Park, or even Evangola State Park on Lake Erie, then set up hookups, level the rig, and walk you through every system. Delivery fees are set by the host and usually scale with distance. Pro tip: filter listings by 'Delivery,' then message a few hosts with your campground name and dates. It removes the stress of driving a big rig out of the gate.
parks.ny.gov/parks/darienlakes/How do mileage policies work for an RV rental in Harris Hill, NY?
Hosts set their own mileage policies, and you'll see the daily mileage allowance and per-mile overage rate right on each listing before you book, so there are no surprises. If you're planning a longer RV road trip from Harris Hill (Niagara Falls is only about 25 miles, but Letchworth State Park is roughly 50 miles and the Finger Lakes wineries around Canandaigua are around 90 miles), look for listings advertising generous limits or RV rental with unlimited mileage. Pro tip: estimate your route both ways in advance, and if you'll exceed the included miles, message the host. Many will gladly bundle in extra miles upfront at a discount versus the overage rate.
fhwa.dot.gov/byways/byways/2096Where are the best campgrounds near Harris Hill, NY?
You're surrounded by great options for RV camping in Harris Hill. Darien Lakes State Park (about 25 miles southeast) offers full-amenity sites next to Six Flags Darien Lake. Niagara Hartland RV Resort in Gasport (about 30 miles north) has full hookups and a small lake. Branches of Niagara Campground on Grand Island puts you minutes from Niagara Falls State Park. Evangola State Park on Lake Erie (about 45 miles southwest) is the spot for sunsets and swimming, and Letchworth's Highbanks Campground (about 55 miles southeast) sits at the rim of the 'Grand Canyon of the East.' Pro tip: book state park sites the moment they open, 9 months ahead through Reserve America.
parks.ny.gov/camping/When is the best time to take an RV trip from Harris Hill?
Late May through early October is prime time for an RV road trip from Harris Hill, with daytime highs from the mid-70s in June to the mid-80s in July and August, and crisp 60s-70s in September. Fall foliage typically peaks in early to mid-October and is genuinely spectacular along the Niagara Escarpment and through Letchworth State Park. Winters are real here, with average January highs in the low 30s and lake-effect snow, so most local campgrounds close from late October to mid-April. Pro tip: book a September trip for warm days, fewer crowds at Niagara Falls, and the best chance at lakeside campsites at Evangola or Four Mile Creek State Park.
weather.gov/buf/I've never driven an RV. Will I be okay renting one in Harris Hill?
You're going to be just fine, even if it's your first time renting an RV. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering driving, hookups, slide-outs, the water system, and the propane, so you never feel left to figure it out. Harris Hill is a great launchpad too: roads like Wehrle Drive, Main Street, and the I-90 Thruway corridor are flat, wide, and easy for first-timers heading toward Niagara Falls or the Finger Lakes. Pro tip: pick up midmorning on a weekday so you can do your first drive in light traffic, and consider a Class C motorhome or smaller travel trailer to start. Many hosts also include delivery if highway driving feels like a lot.
dmv.ny.gov/driver-license/drivers-manualWhat happens if something goes wrong with the RV during my trip?
You're never on your own out there. Every RV rental in Harris Hill, NY booked with a protection plan includes 24/7 roadside assistance covering flat tires, battery jumps, lockouts, towing, and mechanical breakdowns. RVezy's customer support team is also available before, during, and after your trip, so a quick message or call gets you real help fast, whether you're parked at Niagara Falls State Park or somewhere quieter along Route 20A. Pro tip: save the roadside number and your host's contact in your phone before you leave Harris Hill, and snap a few photos of the rig at pickup so any post-trip questions are easy to resolve.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Harris Hill RV rental across the border into Canada?
Cross-border travel into Canada (think Niagara Falls Ontario, Toronto, or Niagara-on-the-Lake wineries) is possible with some Harris Hill RV rentals, but it depends entirely on the host's insurance and written approval. Always message the host before booking, confirm in writing, and ask about any added insurance documentation you'll need for the Peace Bridge or Rainbow Bridge crossing. Travel into Mexico is never allowed on RVezy rentals. You'll need a valid passport (or enhanced NY driver's license) at the border. Pro tip: filter for hosts who explicitly mention cross-border travel, and plan a Niagara Parkway day trip on the Canadian side. The view of Horseshoe Falls is unbeatable.
cbp.gov/travel/us-citizens/western-hemisphere-travel-initiativeWhat should I budget for fuel on a Harris Hill RV trip?
Fuel is usually the second-biggest budget line after the rental itself, so plan ahead. Western New York gas prices typically run a bit above the national average, and most Class C motorhomes get 8 to 12 miles per gallon, while travel trailers cut your tow vehicle's MPG roughly in half. A weekend loop from Harris Hill to Niagara Falls and back (around 60 miles round trip) is cheap, but a Finger Lakes wine country swing to Canandaigua and back (around 180 miles) deserves real budgeting. Pro tip: fill up at the Pilot or Flying J off I-90 Exit 48A in Pembroke, where diesel and gas tend to price lower than inside Buffalo proper.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Harris Hill?
For New York State Parks like Darien Lakes, Evangola, Letchworth, and Four Mile Creek, reservations open 9 months in advance through ReserveAmerica, and summer weekends (especially July 4 and Labor Day) often fill within hours. Private campgrounds like Niagara Hartland RV Resort, Branches of Niagara, and Cherry Hill Campground typically open bookings even earlier and have more flexibility midweek. Pro tip: if you're chasing a Bills game weekend or a Taste of Buffalo trip and the close-in campgrounds are full, look 30 to 45 minutes out toward Gasport or Darien Center, then use that as a home base. Setting a calendar alert for the 9-month state park window is the move.
newyorkstateparks.reserveamerica.com/What are the driving conditions like around Harris Hill?
Driving an RV around Harris Hill is genuinely easy most of the year. The area is flat-to-rolling, and the main arteries (I-90 New York State Thruway, I-290, Route 5, and Transit Road) are wide and RV-friendly. Watch for a few things: low railroad bridges on side streets in Buffalo's older neighborhoods (stick to designated truck routes), Bills game-day traffic around Orchard Park on Sundays, and lake-effect snow squalls from November through March that can drop visibility fast. Pro tip: avoid driving an RV into downtown Buffalo's Allentown or Elmwood Village area; park at your campground and use rideshare. Check 511NY before you roll for real-time road and weather conditions on your route.
511ny.org/What amenities can I expect at campgrounds near Harris Hill?
Most campgrounds near Harris Hill, NY offer a great mix of amenities. State parks like Darien Lakes and Letchworth provide electric hookups, potable water fill stations, free dump stations, hot showers, and flush restrooms, while private resorts like Niagara Hartland and Branches of Niagara typically add full hookups (water, electric, sewer at the site), Wi-Fi, pools, laundry, and camp stores. Dump stations are common throughout Western New York, and most are free for paying campers. Pro tip: top off fresh water at your campground before leaving for a day trip to Niagara Falls or Letchworth, and use the dump station the morning of checkout rather than fighting the afternoon line.
parks.ny.gov/parks/letchworth/details.aspxWhat features come standard in a Harris Hill RV rental?
Most motorhome and campervan rentals in Harris Hill come fully equipped for a real RV camping experience: a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), a bathroom with toilet and shower, sleeping for 2 to 8 depending on the rig, climate control, and seatbelted seats for travel. Many include a TV, Bluetooth stereo, and outdoor awning, and a growing number have Wi-Fi boosters or generators for boondocking. Class B campervans are nimble for Niagara day trips; Class C motorhomes are the family favorite for Letchworth weekends. Pro tip: check the 'amenities' tab on each listing carefully, message the host for clarification, and ask about linens and a kitchen kit so you don't pack what's already onboard.
nps.gov/subjects/camping/rv-camping.htmWhat add-ons and pickup options should I know about?
Hosts in Harris Hill commonly offer add-ons that make your trip easier: delivery and setup, generators, kitchen and linen kits, camp chairs and tables, bike racks, propane refills, and pet cleaning fees for pet-friendly RV rental in Harris Hill. Each add-on shows its price upfront on the listing. Pickup is usually at the host's address in Williamsville, Clarence, Amherst, or Lancaster, while delivery sweet spots include Darien Lakes State Park and Niagara Hartland RV Resort. Pro tip: bundle add-ons when you book, since a la carte at pickup can be more expensive. If you'd rather skip the tow back, ask the host about a return-clean fee that lets you drop it off without dumping tanks yourself.
parks.ny.gov/parks/darienlakes/details.aspxHow does payment and the security deposit work?
Payment is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy's platform with a credit or debit card at booking (never directly to the host), which protects both sides. A refundable security deposit is held separately before pickup and released after the trip, assuming the RV is returned in the same condition, with tanks per the host's policy, and within the agreed mileage. Deposit amounts vary by RV but are clearly shown before you confirm. Pro tip: take date-stamped photos and a short walk-around video of the exterior, interior, and tank levels at pickup and dropoff. It's the single best way to avoid disputes and get your full deposit back fast.
