We stayed over Memorial Day weekend with our family and had the BEST experience! We rented an RV for 3 adults and 3 kids, and it was the perfect size with plenty of room for everyone. Everything was super clean and fully stocked — pillows, bedding, and honestly anything you could possibly need was included. But our absolute favorite part was the outdoor kitchen. I genuinely don’t think we can ever rent an RV again without one now! The griddle was AMAZING and made cooking so easy and fun. We’ve officially become bougie RV campers now. 😂 Could not have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend!

Great experience. Tina is very kind. Done exactly what she said she would do. Trailer was well stocked. Driver explained in detail to my son everything he needed to know about the trailers sewer & water. If you are thinking of renting a trailer for a family member from out of state don’t hesitate. We had a great weekend and my son’s family had a great place to rest.

What license do I need to rent an RV in Muldrow, Oklahoma?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Muldrow, no Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special RV endorsement required in Oklahoma for personal-use motorhomes and trailers you'll find on RVezy. Every guest must be at least 25 years old with a valid license, and RVezy verifies your ID right inside the booking flow, so there's no extra paperwork at pickup. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Grab an International Driving Permit from your home auto association before you fly in and pair it with your home license. Most first-time renters are surprised how quick the whole approval step is.

What if I need to cancel my Muldrow RV rental?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy (not the individual host) sets the cancellation policy, and there's a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in your dates with confidence. After that window, what you can get back depends on how far out you are from your trip start date. You won't see cancellation terms listed on each Muldrow listing because they're handled at the platform level, not by hosts. If a host cancels on you, RVezy refunds you or provides travel credits so your Sequoyah County getaway can stay on track. If plans shift, hop into your RVezy dashboard or message support, and they'll walk you through your options.

Summers here are hot and humid, with July and August highs regularly hitting 90 to 95 degrees, which is great for swimming at Robert S. Kerr Reservoir but rough on fuel economy with the AC running. Winters are mild but can dip below freezing at night, so plan for shore power. Pro tip: October is gorgeous for fall color drives through the Cookson Hills and into the Ozarks just across the Arkansas line.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay picking one up in Muldrow?

You'll be just fine, first time renting an RV is exactly what most Muldrow hosts are used to. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup: how to hook up power and water, run the propane and fridge, dump the tanks, and operate the slide-outs and awning. Many Muldrow-area hosts also offer delivery and setup, which means your only job is to drive your own car to the campsite. You can message hosts before booking with any question, no matter how basic. Pro tip: pick a travel trailer or Class C for your first trip, they drive more like a large truck and feel manageable on Interstate 40 and U.S. 64.

How far ahead should I book campgrounds near Muldrow?

For the best sites, book your campground at the same time you book your RV. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers parks on Robert S. Kerr Reservoir (Applegate Cove, Short Mountain Cove, Springhill Park) and Brushy Lake State Park reserve through Recreation.gov, and lakefront sites for summer weekends often book up 3 to 6 months ahead. Sallisaw / Fort Smith West KOA and other private parks like Park Ridge book directly on their own sites and tend to have more last-minute availability. For shoulder-season trips in April, May, September, and October, 2 to 4 weeks ahead is usually plenty. Pro tip: Sunday-through-Thursday arrivals are easier to grab and often cheaper.

Things to watch for: spring thunderstorms and the occasional tornado watch (eastern Oklahoma sits in Tornado Alley, so check the National Weather Service before travel), strong crosswinds on bridges over the Arkansas River, and deer at dawn and dusk on rural roads. Pro tip: avoid driving the steeper Ouachita and Ozark scenic routes in heavy rain, and always check height clearances if you detour into downtown Fort Smith, AR, 15 miles east.
