Diego was great!. Was my first time renting a traveling trailer and using the site. I was a little nervous to rent cause you dont know what will happen. I didnt calculate the correct size truck for the trailer. Diego was a problem solver and helped me solve my issue. He went out of his way to deliver the trailer to the campsite and pick it up when done. He did a lot more to accommodate the situation and went above and beyond to make this trip meaningful. I had two family members pass away last year, and extended family for the first time planned this camping trip together and it was very important we went and that I had a trailer for my family of 6. Diego made sure the trip went through and got the rental up there for us. Means a lot! I see why he is a super host and is just a great soul. Thanks Diego we will be renting from you again and again.

We had a wonderful time staying in this RV for our Lagoon trip. Everything was setup up beautifully when we arrived and felt very inviting - little details like nice decor and the outdoor setup with a large rug and nice camp chairs made a noticeable difference. The rv was very clean and all beds made meticulously (we have not had this experience with all rentals - oftentimes the bunks are not made and/or sheets not provided when we were told sheets included). Appreciate Lincoln being responsive but at the same time very laid back (not 100s of questions as we have had before, adding stress). Would definitely rent again!

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Kaysville, UT

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Kaysville, UT?

Great news for budget travelers: RV rental in Kaysville is one of the more affordable ways to explore northern Utah. On RVezy, you'll typically see travel trailers starting around $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes from about $175 to $275 per night, and larger Class A motorhomes from $250 to $400 per night. Prices climb during peak summer (June through August) and around Lagoon's busy season. For a cheap RV rental in Kaysville, book mid-week, target shoulder months like May or September, and filter by Instant Book to spot last-minute deals. Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Kaysville?

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Kaysville. Utah Code § 53-3-102 specifically exempts recreational vehicles used for personal travel from Commercial Driver's License (CDL) requirements, so your standard Class D license covers everything from a campervan rental in Kaysville to a 35-foot Class A motorhome. You'll need to be 25 or older to book on RVezy, and we'll verify your ID right inside the platform during checkout. Visiting from abroad? Pick up an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home country's auto club before your trip and you're set. Most first-timers are surprised how easy it really is.

Is my Kaysville RV rental protected if something goes wrong?

Absolutely, and that peace of mind is built into every booking. Every RV rental in Kaysville on RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you have help one call away if you get a flat near Antelope Island or need a tow off I-15. During checkout, you choose the protection level that matches your trip (the guest selects this, not the host), with options ranging from basic to premium coverage. The plan provides meaningful financial protection against most damage to the RV, so you can focus on the trip, not the what-ifs. Full details are available in the RVezy Help Center.

What is RVezy's cancellation policy for a Kaysville rental?

Booking is low-risk, even if your plans shift. RVezy sets the cancellation policy (not individual hosts), and refund eligibility depends on how far in advance you cancel relative to your trip start date. There are also accommodations for serious situations like natural disasters or wildfire road closures in the Wasatch foothills. Because the policy is standardized by RVezy and not displayed on individual listings, the full breakdown lives in the RVezy Help Center, and our support team is happy to walk you through it before you click book on your Kaysville RV rental.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Kaysville?

Yes, plenty of furry co-pilots hit the road here. To find a pet-friendly RV rental in Kaysville, toggle the Pet-Friendly filter on RVezy and message the host about your pup's size and breed. Once you are rolling, Antelope Island State Park welcomes leashed dogs in the Bridger Bay and White Rock Bay campgrounds, though they are not allowed on the Frary Peak or Sentry trails or on the swim beach. Cherry Hill Campground right in Kaysville is also dog-friendly, and Barnes Park and the Kaysville Ponds are great leashed-walk spots. Pro tip: pack a collapsible water bowl, Utah summers get hot, and keep at least 25 yards from bison on Antelope Island.

Can the RV be delivered to my campsite or driveway in Kaysville?

Yes, RV delivery in Kaysville is one of the best perks for first-timers. Many RVezy hosts in the Kaysville, Layton, and Farmington area offer delivery and setup, meaning they will drive the rig to Cherry Hill Campground, your Antelope Island site, or even your own driveway, level it, hook up power and water, and walk you through every system. To find delivery-ready listings, switch on the Delivery filter when you search. Fees are usually based on round-trip mileage from the host's location, with most local deliveries within 30 miles costing $100 to $250. It is a game-changer if you would rather not drive a motorhome through Salt Lake traffic.

When is the best time of year to rent an RV in Kaysville?

Late April through mid-October is prime RV season, but every shoulder month has its own magic. May and June bring wildflowers in the Wasatch foothills with daytime highs in the 70s, July and August get hot (highs around 90 to 95°F, with average July high near 84°F), and September and early October are the local favorite, cool nights, golden cottonwoods, and the famous Antelope Island Bison Roundup in late October. Winter is genuinely cold (January lows around 22°F with about 11 inches of snow), so confirm with your host whether their RV is winterized if you're planning a December or January ski trip to nearby Snowbasin or Powder Mountain.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving one around Kaysville?

Totally, first time renting an RV is easier than you think, and Kaysville is one of the friendliest places in Utah to start. Every RVezy host gives you a full walkthrough at pickup: how to level the rig, run the generator, dump tanks, and operate the slide-outs. I-15 runs flat and wide right through town, parking lots at Lagoon and Station Park are RV-friendly, and you're 10 minutes from open countryside if you want a quiet practice drive on US-89 before heading into the mountains. Tip: avoid driving downtown Salt Lake City between 4 and 6 p.m., and ask your host about delivery if highway driving sounds intimidating, many will bring the RV to you.

What happens if I break down on my Kaysville RV trip?

You are never stranded. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so whether you are on I-15 near Layton, climbing US-89 through Weber Canyon, or out on the Antelope Island causeway, one call gets a tow, tire change, jump start, or lockout service dispatched to you. Your host is also a quick text away for questions about specific quirks of their rig. Pro tip: before pulling out of the driveway, save the RVezy support number, your host's number, and the Utah 511 traffic line in your phone, between the three, you have every scenario covered.

Can I take my Kaysville RV rental to other states or into Canada?

Yes to both, with a quick conversation first. Most hosts welcome cross-state travel, so a motorhome rental in Kaysville can easily roll into Yellowstone (about 5 hours north), Jackson Hole, Wyoming (3.5 hours), Grand Teton, or down to Moab and Arches. Cross-border trips into Canada are often allowed but depend on the specific host and insurance terms, so message the host directly through the listing before booking to confirm. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because the protection package doesn't cover it. For an epic RV road trip from Kaysville, the Mighty 5 loop through Utah's national parks is the bucket-list pick.
nps.gov/yell/planyourvisit/index.htm

What kind of fuel mileage should I expect, and how do I budget for gas?

Realistic numbers make budgeting easy. Class B campervans get around 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes around 8 to 12 MPG, and big Class A rigs 6 to 10 MPG. A travel trailer pulled behind your own truck depends on the tow vehicle. Utah regular gas typically runs in the $3.30 to $3.80 per gallon range, with the cheapest pumps usually at Costco in Bountiful or the Maverik stations along US-89. For a 4-day RV trip from Kaysville to Antelope Island and back (about 200 miles total), expect to spend roughly $60 to $90 in fuel for a Class C. Top off before climbing into the mountains, prices jump in resort towns like Park City.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Kaysville?

The earlier the better, especially for summer weekends. Utah State Parks (including Antelope Island's Bridger Bay and White Rock Bay) open reservations on a 4-month rolling window through Reserve America, and prime weekend sites disappear within minutes of release. Cherry Hill Camping Resort takes bookings well in advance and fills fast for Lagoon-season weekends. For a stress-free family RV trip in Kaysville during June, July, or August, lock in your campground reservation before you book the RV. Insider tip: Sunday-through-Thursday stays are often wide open even in peak summer, so plan a mid-week trip and you will have your pick of sites.

What are driving conditions like around Kaysville?

Driving an RV around Kaysville is refreshingly straightforward most of the year. I-15 is flat, wide, and well-maintained right through town, and US-89 offers a scenic alternative along the Wasatch foothills. Watch for two things: gusty crosswinds on the Antelope Island Causeway (afternoons can hit 30+ mph), and winter snow from November through March, especially if you're heading up Parley's Canyon to Park City or US-89 to Logan. Utah DOT runs the free 511 traveler-info service for real-time road and weather alerts. Avoid I-15 through Salt Lake City during weekday rush hours (7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.) and you'll have a smooth ride.
udot.utah.gov/connect/public/traveler-information/

What amenities do campgrounds near Kaysville offer for RVs?

Plenty, and it varies by campground so you can match your style. Full-hookup parks like Cherry Hill Camping Resort in Kaysville and Lagoon RV Park in Farmington offer 30/50-amp electric, water, sewer at the site, dump stations, hot showers, laundry, and Wi-Fi. Antelope Island's Bridger Bay Campground has potable water and vault toilets, with a sanitary dump station and showers available at the Bridger Bay Beach day-use area. White Rock Bay is more primitive (vault toilets, no hookups) but absolutely spectacular for stargazing. Need to dump tanks mid-trip? There is a public dump station at the Antelope Island day-use area and at the Flying J in Willard, about 30 minutes north of Kaysville on I-15.

What's inside a typical RV rental in Kaysville?

More than you'd guess. A typical RV rental in Kaysville on RVezy comes fully equipped to live and travel comfortably: a queen or king bed plus convertible dinette and bunk options (most rigs sleep 4 to 8), a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, cookware, and dishes, a wet or dry bathroom with toilet and shower, roof and dash air conditioning, a furnace, and seatbelted travel seats for everyone on board. Many hosts include a generator, outdoor speakers, an awning, a flat-screen TV, and even Starlink or cellular Wi-Fi. What add-ons and pickup options are available with RVezy hosts in Kaysville?

Hosts in Kaysville love to make trips turnkey. Popular add-ons include camp chairs and tables, bedding and linen packages, propane top-offs, generator hours, kayaks or bikes, pet packages, and fully stocked kitchen kits, typically priced between $10 and $75 each. Pickup is usually at the host's home (often in Kaysville, Layton, Farmington, or Syracuse), with walkthroughs taking 30 to 45 minutes so you leave confident. Mileage policies vary: many hosts offer 100 to 150 free miles per night with $0.30 to $0.50 per additional mile, while some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage, perfect for a longer Utah trip. All extras show up clearly on the listing before you book.

How does payment and the security deposit work for a Kaysville RV rental?

It is all handled securely through the RVezy platform, so you never exchange cash or personal payment info with the host. When you book, you pay the rental total through RVezy by credit card, and a refundable security deposit (typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the rig) is pre-authorized on your card before pickup, not actually charged unless there is damage or a clear policy violation like exceeding mileage. After a clean return, the hold is released, usually within a few business days. To keep things smooth, take time-stamped photos and video at pickup and dropoff, return fuel and propane at the same level you received, and dump the tanks before returning.
