From Oakhurst you can drive Highway 41 straight to the South Entrance of Yosemite National Park to reach Wawona and the Mariposa Grove of giant sequoias, a route commonly used by RV travelers. A short drive brings you to Bass Lake, where lakeside roads, picnic areas and boat launches make for relaxed day trips from a larger vehicle. Sierra National Forest offers forested drives and trailheads with scenic pullouts for photography and short hikes. Highway 41 is the main artery out of Oakhurst, and while some segments climb steeply it is regularly used by larger RVs and has fuel and services along the way.
