A truly excellent rental experience. The host was accommodating on pickup time, it was clean, everything worked, and it was fully equipped. Dishes, cookware, bedding, camping chairs, games, movies, and so many miscellaneous items. When we thought of something we needed it always turned out to be in a drawer. Dropping off was smooth and easy. We've camped for years with an A-frame trailer and this was our first time with a camping van. We love our A-frame but now we want one just like Ms. Retro.

Fantastic trip with Miss Retro! We rented Miss Retro for three nights during Thanksgiving to camp with friends in Olema CA - everything g was great! The van is well equipped for two, with a generous sized bed and well set up kitchen. The van was cozy for sleeping and hanging out and we prepped gravy and potatoes on the inside stove burners / Maria and Isaac were great hosts, communicative, friendly and everything was as described.

California state-park sites at Wrights Beach Campground are reserved through ReserveCalifornia, which opens a rolling six-month booking window at 8 a.m. Pacific each morning. Oceanfront sites in particular fill the moment they open, so set a reminder for the date exactly six months ahead of the desired arrival. Online reservations close two days before arrival, and any remaining sites become first-come, first-served in person at the park. Porto Bodega Marina and RV Park, Bodega Bay RV Park, and Chanslor Guest Ranch take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone and typically require a deposit. Lawson's Landing books online and can be busy on summer weekends and during clamming tides. For Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day weekends, plan on booking several months out across every option in the area.

What to expect on site

Sites in the village RV parks are close together and built around the marina, with hookups, paved or gravel pads, and easy walking to town. Cell service is generally reliable in and around Bodega Bay. State-park sites at Wrights Beach do not have hookups, and length limits apply, so confirm rig length when reserving.
