Campgrounds and RV parks near Carneys Point, NJ

Carneys Point sits in Salem County at the southwestern edge of New Jersey, where the Delaware Memorial Bridge crosses into Delaware. The location works well as an RV base for travelers who want quick access to Wilmington, Philadelphia, and the historic Salem County countryside. Interstate 295 and the New Jersey Turnpike meet nearby, so rigs of nearly any size can reach sites without navigating narrow streets. The surrounding area is mostly flat farmland, pine woods, and tidal marsh along the Delaware Bay. Private RV parks dominate the local inventory, since New Jersey's state forest campgrounds are concentrated farther east in the Pine Barrens. Four Seasons Campgrounds in nearby Pilesgrove is family-owned and operated, offering seasonal sites, monthly camping, and weekend stays, while Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday is the only KOA in New Jersey and sits a short drive north. Families renting an RV typically choose this region for its balance of rural quiet and day-trip options: Philadelphia landmarks, the Delaware beaches, and Cape May are all reachable in under two hours.

Nearly all campgrounds in this corridor are privately owned and take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. KOA properties, including Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday, also accept bookings through the KOA reservation system. Four Seasons Campgrounds, Camp Country Center, Adventure Bound Tall Pines, and Old Cedar Campground each handle their own calendars, so check availability with each park individually. For summer weekends and holidays, book several weeks ahead. Big-rig travelers should confirm pull-through length and hookup amperage at reservation time; the Clarksboro KOA caters to RVs of all sizes with pull-through sites and 30/50-amp electrical hookups, water, sewer, and propane connections, but site dimensions vary at the smaller rural parks. Ask about pet policies, extra-vehicle fees, and cancellation windows when you confirm.
