Campgrounds and RV parks near East Vineland, NJ

East Vineland sits in Atlantic County in the southern half of New Jersey, on the western edge of the Pine Barrens and roughly 30 miles from the Atlantic City boardwalk. The area functions as a practical base for RV trips that mix Jersey Shore beach days with pine-and-oak forest camping, and most campgrounds within a short drive fall inside or just outside the Pinelands National Reserve. The closest private RV parks cluster around Buena, Dorothy, and Mays Landing. Buena Vista Camping Park and Buena Vista Campground sit in the Buena area with RV sites, cabins, and family programming, and Spacious Skies Country Oaks is located in the Pine Barrens with RV sites, cabins, and activities. Mays Landing Campground offers full-hookup sites, tent sites, and log cabins closer to Atlantic City. Roamers Beach RV Resort rounds out the nearby private options for travelers who want hookups and amenities. For a more rustic experience, state land is close by. Wharton State Forest is the largest single tract of land in the New Jersey State Park System, encompassing well over 120,000 acres of Pine Barrens, and Belleplain State Forest to the south adds another large block of public campsites.

Private RV parks in the area take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone, and several also list on third-party portals such as Campspot or Hipcamp. For summer weekends and holidays, plan to book several weeks to a few months ahead, especially for full-hookup and pull-through sites that fit larger rigs. State forest campgrounds use the New Jersey state system. Online reservations for Belleplain State Forest and other state parks can be made through camping.nj.gov, and the state portal lets travelers search by location, availability, and amenities before reserving. Wharton State Forest sites, including Atsion, Godfrey Bridge, and primitive backcountry sites, are booked through the same system by permit. Check rig-length limits before booking. Some older private parks and most state forest sites are best suited to smaller trailers and Class C RVs rather than big fifth wheels or Class A coaches.
