Campgrounds near Florham Park
Florham Park sits in Morris County in northern New Jersey, roughly an hour by road from Manhattan and within reach of both the Skylands region and the Hudson waterfront. RV travelers typically use the borough as a base for exploring the New Jersey Highlands to the northwest and the New York City skyline to the east, rather than staying in Florham Park itself, which is primarily residential and commercial.
The closest options range from rustic tent-only camping to full-hookup RV resorts. Camp Wyanokie offers rustic camping at the edge of the Wyanokie highlands, and Fla-Net Park provides basic municipal camping in the county. Panther Lake Camping Resort in Andover is the main full-service destination in the area, set on 160 wooded acres around a 45-acre lake, and Wawayanda State Park delivers state-park camping in the Highlands near the Appalachian Trail.
For travelers focused on New York City sightseeing, Liberty Harbor RV Park in Jersey City sits closer to New York City than any other RV park, with views of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island from the property.
Things to do near Florham Park
Hiking is the dominant outdoor draw. The Wyanokie highlands north of the city carry an extensive trail network with vistas that include the New York skyline on clear days. Wawayanda State Park has over 60 miles of well-marked trails plus a 19.6-mile section of the Appalachian Trail restricted to hiking.
Lake activities are widely available. Wawayanda offers boating and canoeing with electric motors only, boat and canoe rentals, swimming, and fishing. Panther Lake Camping Resort adds a sand beach, swimming pool, pickleball, mini golf, and boat rentals on its 45-acre lake.
City-focused travelers can base at Liberty Harbor RV Park and reach Manhattan by NY Waterway Ferry to Pier 11 on weekdays, or walk five blocks to the Grove Street PATH station for service to 33rd Street and the World Trade Center.

I accept the charges as followed. However I do not accept charge for 4 days. I only had the vehicle for 3 days. I'd like to dispute the 4th day charged for 250.00

How to book campgrounds near Florham Park
Reservation systems vary by operator. Online reservations for Wawayanda State Park and other New Jersey state parks are made at camping.nj.gov. Campsites can be booked online up to 11 months in advance, and summer weekends sell out fastest, so book early.
Camp Wyanokie is a rustic area with limited capacity and no on-site staff, so travelers should confirm current booking procedures directly with the operator before arriving. Panther Lake Camping Resort takes reservations by phone and online, with multi-night minimums on holiday weekends.
Liberty Harbor RV Park accepts online bookings and phone reservations. Because it is one of the few RV-accessible options in the New York metro area, reserve well in advance for peak-season stays.
What to expect on-site
Amenities differ sharply between rustic and full-service parks. Camp Wyanokie is a rustic camping area geared to tent campers rather than RVs, with minimal facilities and no hookups.
Panther Lake offers 30- and 50-amp service, a dump station, restrooms and showers, laundry, a swimming pool, swimming lake, mini golf, sports courts, and a game room, and the campground is family- and pet-friendly.
Liberty Harbor RV Park provides sites with water and electric, a dump station, full restrooms with hot showers, laundry, complimentary Wi-Fi, 24-hour security, and views of the New York skyline, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Liberty Science Center, and Liberty State Park. The layout is essentially a fenced section within a marina complex, with sites close together on level ground.

rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Florham%20Park%2C%20New%20JerseyDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Florham Park, NJ?
Good news: a regular New Jersey driver's license (or any valid US or Canadian license) is all you need to rent and drive an RV in Florham Park. No Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special motorhome endorsement is required for Class A, Class B, or Class C motorhomes on RVezy. Approved drivers are generally 25 or older with a valid license, and RVezy verifies your ID through the platform during booking. Visiting from overseas? Every RVezy booking in Florham Park includes a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can drive off with real peace of mind. The protection plan covers most damages to the RV during your trip, and you choose your coverage level at checkout (the host does not set this). Whether you are a first-time renter heading to Worthington State Forest or a seasoned traveler doing a New York City RV trip, you have backup if something unexpected happens. Pick the coverage tier that fits your comfort level during booking and you are protected from Morris County to wherever the road takes you.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat is the cancellation policy if my Florham Park trip plans change?
Booking is low-risk because RVezy (not the host) sets the cancellation policy, and the same policy applies consistently across every listing. Refund amounts depend on how far out you are from your trip start date. You do not have to hunt for a policy on each listing because it is handled the same way across the platform. Pro tip: book early to lock in the best RVs for summer Jersey Shore trips from Florham Park, then relax knowing the cancellation policy is clear and predictable if life gets in the way.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Florham Park?
Pet-friendly RV rental in Florham Park is easy to find on RVezy: toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you will see every host who welcomes your dog or cat. Northern New Jersey is great for pet parents, with leash-friendly trails at the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge just south of town and the Loantaka Brook Reservation a short drive away. For overnight stays, New Jersey state parks like Stokes State Forest, Wawayanda State Park, and Worthington State Forest have designated pet-friendly campsites. Pro tip: message the host before booking to confirm pet fees and bring a copy of your dog's vaccination records, since some campgrounds near Florham Park ask for them at check-in.
nj.gov/dep/parksandforests/Can the RV be delivered to me in Florham Park?
Yes, RV delivery in Florham Park is one of the smartest ways to start your trip, especially if you are a first-timer or flying into Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), which is about 20 miles east. Many RVezy hosts in the Florham Park, Morristown, and Madison area offer delivery and setup, meaning they bring the motorhome or travel trailer right to your driveway, campground, or a relative's house and walk you through every system before they leave. Filter listings by Delivery to see available options and fees upfront. Pro tip: have it delivered straight to your campsite at Camp Taylor or Mahlon Dickerson Reservation so you can skip towing through the Route 24 and I-287 interchange.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityHow far can I travel on a Florham Park RV trip, and is mileage included?

From Florham Park you can reach the Jersey Shore (Asbury Park) in about 60 miles, the Poconos in 75 miles, Cape May at the southern tip of New Jersey in around 160 miles, the Catskills in 110 miles, and Acadia-bound travelers often roll through here on the way to New England. Pro tip: if you're planning a long RV road trip from Florham Park, filter for unlimited-mileage listings to keep your budget predictable.
state.nj.us/transportation/Where are the best campgrounds near Florham Park, NJ?
You are closer to great RV camping than you would think for being this close to New York City. A few favorites near Florham Park: Mahlon Dickerson Reservation in Jefferson Township (about 20 miles north) offers full and partial hookups in a forested setting; Camp Taylor Campground near Columbia (about 40 miles west) has shaded sites and a wildlife preserve next door; Worthington State Forest along the Delaware Water Gap (about 50 miles northwest) gives you riverside sites and hiking; and Liberty Harbor RV Park in Jersey City (about 25 miles east) is known for skyline views of Manhattan. Pro tip: New Jersey state park sites book through the NJ Outdoors reservation portal, so reserve early for summer weekends.
njoutdoors.com/When is the best time of year for an RV trip from Florham Park?
Late April through mid-October is prime time for a Florham Park RV trip, with the sweet spots being May to June (lush greenery, daytime highs in the 60s to 70s F) and September to mid-October when the fall foliage in the Skylands region turns red and gold. July and August bring warm days in the 80s F with humidity and the busiest campground bookings, while winter temperatures often drop into the 20s F with snow possible from December through February. Many New Jersey state park campgrounds operate seasonally from spring through late October. Pro tip: book a fall foliage motorhome rental from Florham Park up to the Delaware Water Gap in early to mid-October for great color and cool nights perfect for campfires.
weather.gov/phi/I have never rented an RV before. Will I be okay driving one out of Florham Park?
You are going to do great, and you are not alone: many first-time RV renters start right here in the New York metro area. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup, walking you through the engine, propane, water systems, slide-outs, and dump procedure. You can message your host with questions before booking, and 24/7 roadside support is always one call away. For your first drive out of Florham Park, take Route 24 west toward Morristown instead of heading into Manhattan, and you will get comfortable on quieter roads. Pro tip: book a Class B campervan or smaller Class C for your first rental, since they drive much like a large van and park easily at Jersey Shore or Poconos campgrounds.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsWhat happens if I break down during my Florham Park RV rental?
You are never stranded: 24/7 roadside assistance is included with every RVezy booking, so help is one phone call away whether you are on the New Jersey Turnpike, deep in the Pine Barrens, or up at High Point State Park. Roadside covers things like flat tires, jump-starts, lockouts, fuel delivery, and towing to the nearest qualified service center. Your host is also a great first text since they know the RV best. Save both numbers in your phone before you leave Florham Park. Pro tip: keep a printed copy of your booking confirmation and the RV's registration in the glovebox, which speeds things up if a state trooper or tow operator needs information at the scene.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Florham Park RV rental across state lines or into Canada?
Travel across state lines is welcome on RVezy rentals, which is great news since Florham Park sits within a day's drive of Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, and Massachusetts. Popular interstate runs include the Poconos (about 75 miles west), Cape Cod (about 280 miles northeast), Niagara Falls (about 400 miles northwest), and Acadia National Park in Maine (about 470 miles). Cross-border travel into Canada may be allowed depending on the host and insurance coverage, so message the host directly through the listing to confirm before booking. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Pro tip: a popular RV road trip from Florham Park is the Hudson Valley loop up through Bear Mountain and the Catskills, easily done over a long weekend.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat kind of fuel mileage and gas budget should I plan for?
Budgeting for fuel is easier than people think because most RVezy rentals near Florham Park fall in predictable MPG ranges: travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle but typically pull around 10 to 14 MPG combined, Class B campervans get 16 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 MPG, and Class A motorhomes typically deliver 7 to 10 MPG. New Jersey gas prices usually track close to the national average, and New Jersey requires full-service fueling by law, so factor in slightly longer fuel stops. Pro tip: fill up before crossing into Pennsylvania or New York where you can self-serve faster, and use GasBuddy to find the cheapest stations along Route 80 or I-287.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground for my Florham Park RV trip?
For the best campgrounds near Florham Park, book as soon as your dates are firm. New Jersey state parks (Worthington, Stokes, Wawayanda, High Point) take reservations through the NJ Outdoors portal, and prime summer weekends sell out quickly. Federal sites like the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area book through Recreation.gov. Private RV parks such as Camp Taylor or Panther Lake Camping Resort accept reservations well in advance. Pro tip: if you are flexible, target Sunday-through-Thursday stays, which often have wide-open availability even in July, and book your RV rental in Florham Park first so you know the dimensions before reserving your site.
recreation.gov/What are driving conditions like around Florham Park?
Driving an RV around Florham Park is very manageable once you know the rhythm. Local roads like Columbia Turnpike (Route 510), Ridgedale Avenue, and Route 24 are RV-friendly, and I-287 and I-78 give you smooth highway access to the rest of the region. Rush hour on Route 24 and I-280 east toward Newark gets dense from 7 to 9 AM and 4 to 7 PM, so plan departures around it. Be aware that the Garden State Parkway north of Exit 105 and the Palisades Interstate Parkway restrict commercial vehicles and larger RVs. Pro tip: use an RV-specific GPS like Garmin RV or CoPilot before leaving Florham Park, because it will route you around low bridges that standard apps miss.
state.nj.us/transportation/What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Florham Park?
Campgrounds near Florham Park range from full-service RV resorts to rustic state park sites, so you can pick what matches your style. Private parks like Panther Lake Camping Resort and Camp Taylor offer full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, sewer), Wi-Fi, hot showers, laundry, and dump stations. New Jersey state parks like Worthington and Stokes provide trailer sites with potable water and shared dump stations but limited hookups, while Spruce Run Recreation Area has select water-and-electric sites. Most campgrounds have potable water fill stations on site. Pro tip: if your RV rental does not have a generator and you want to run AC overnight during a July heatwave, book a full-hookup site, because New Jersey nights can stay in the 70s F with humidity.
nj.gov/dep/parksandforests/What is actually inside the RVs available in Florham Park?
Florham Park RV rentals on RVezy come well-equipped for quick Shore getaways and big cross-country trips alike. Most listings include a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), a bathroom with shower and toilet, sleeping for 2 to 8 people depending on size, climate control with roof AC and furnace, dinette and lounge seating with seatbelts for travel, and 12V plus shore-power electrical. Many also offer a TV, Wi-Fi hotspot, onboard generator, outdoor awning, and bike racks. Each listing shows exactly what is included, with photos. Pro tip: if you are heading to a no-hookup site like Worthington State Forest, filter for RVs with a generator or solar so you can boondock comfortably along the Delaware River.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Florham%20Park%2C%20New%20JerseyWhat add-ons and pickup options can I get with my Florham Park rental?
RVezy hosts in Florham Park offer add-ons that make your trip easier: delivery and setup, generator use, bedding and linen packages, kitchen kits, camp chairs, bike racks, outdoor grills, kayaks, and portable Wi-Fi hotspots. You will see each add-on with a clear price on the listing before you book, so there are no surprises. Pickup is usually at the host's location in Florham Park or surrounding Morris County towns like Madison, Chatham, or Morristown, and many hosts will meet you at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) for a fee. Pro tip: bundle bedding and a kitchen kit on your first booking so you can land at EWR with just a carry-on and start your RV trip in under an hour.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Florham%20Park%2C%20New%20JerseyHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is straightforward and fully handled through the RVezy platform, so you never hand cash or a personal check to a host. You pay your booking total (rental cost plus any add-ons and fees) by credit or debit card at the time of booking. A refundable security deposit is handled separately and held before pickup, then released after the trip once the host confirms the RV came back in the same condition it left. Keep all communication and payments inside RVezy to stay protected. Pro tip: do a quick walk-around video with your host at pickup and dropoff in Florham Park, since it makes deposit returns smooth and gives both sides a clear record.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksWhere can I find cheap RV rental in Florham Park without sacrificing quality?
Cheap RV rental in Florham Park is absolutely doable when you know how to filter. Travel trailers and pop-ups consistently rent for less than motorhomes (often around $80 to $120 per night) because you tow them with your own SUV or truck. Booking Sunday-through-Thursday, traveling in May or late September, and choosing a smaller Class B campervan rental in Florham Park can knock 25 to 40 percent off peak summer pricing. Sort listings by price (low to high) and watch for hosts offering weekly discounts. Pro tip: a family RV trip from Florham Park to the Jersey Shore in early June can come in well under the cost of a beachfront hotel for four people.
