Campgrounds and RV parks near Linwood, NJ

Linwood sits on the mainland side of the Jersey Shore in Atlantic County, just off the Garden State Parkway and a short drive from Ocean City, Atlantic City, and Somers Point. The town itself is residential, so RV travellers typically base themselves at private campgrounds in the surrounding Pine Barrens and back-bay communities and drive to the beaches, boardwalks, and casinos. Whippoorwill Campground in Marmora is one of the closest options to the Ocean City beaches, sitting about three miles from the shore with wooded sites, 30 and 50 amp electric, water, sewer, and cable TV. A little further inland toward Atlantic City, Pomona RV Park and Campground provides full-hookup sites with water, electric, sewer, cable, and Wi-Fi, cement pads, pull-thrus that fit big rigs, and a swimming pool. Additional options in the corridor include Shady Pines MH and RV Resort, Frontier Campground, and Pleasant Valley Family Campground, giving travellers a mix of shaded shore-area parks and larger family resorts within roughly a half-hour drive of Linwood.

Nearly all campgrounds in the Linwood area are privately owned rather than state or federal, so reservations are made directly with each park or through platforms such as RoverPass, Hipcamp, or Good Sam. Whippoorwill Campground is part of the Thousand Trails / Encore network and can also be booked without a membership through its own site or by phone. Pomona RV Park and Campground takes reservations through its own website and phone line and is also listed on Hipcamp. For summer weekends and holidays, book several weeks to a few months ahead, especially for full-hookup pull-thru sites that fit larger rentals. Confirm rig length, slide clearance, and 30 or 50 amp service when reserving, and ask about pet policies, cable and Wi-Fi, and any seasonal-site restrictions before arrival.
