Malaga is a small community in Franklin Township, Gloucester County, in southwestern New Jersey. It sits within an easy drive of the Pine Barrens, the Delaware Bay shore, and the Jersey Shore, making it a practical base for RV travelers exploring South Jersey. Philadelphia is roughly an hour to the north, and Atlantic City about 40 minutes east. The closest public campground is Parvin State Park, located in Pittsgrove Township, Salem County, about five miles west of Vineland and operated by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. Private options within a short drive include Old Cedar Campground, Buena Vista Camping Park, and Buena Vista Campground. Families traveling with kids often head to Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: South Jersey in Williamstown, known for swimming pools and lake fun, jumping pillows, gem mining, and organized activities. The terrain is flat and sandy, with pine and hardwood forest, small lakes, and slow tea-colored streams typical of the region. Sites range from rustic state-park loops to full-hookup resort pads, so RV travelers can pick a base that matches the trip.

Public sites in the area use the New Jersey state reservation system. Online reservations for Parvin State Park can be made at camping.nj.gov, and summer weekends and cabin dates should be locked in early because they fill quickly. Private resorts run their own systems. Jellystone Park South Jersey recommends booking at least six months in advance and takes reservations up to 360 days out. A deposit is due at booking, with the balance required 30 days before arrival. RV travelers should confirm site length, hookup type, and slide-out clearance when booking. Parvin's individual RV sites do not include water, electric, or sewer hookups, though potable water is available at multiple points in the campground. The sanitary dump station at Jaggers Point is currently closed, so plan an alternate dump stop before or after a stay.
