Campgrounds and RV parks near Newfield, NJ

Newfield sits in the rural southwestern corner of New Jersey, on the edge of the Pine Barrens and within easy driving distance of a cluster of RV-friendly campgrounds. The area works well as a base for trips that mix nature with Jersey Shore day-drives, and it puts renters roughly between Philadelphia and Atlantic City. Buena Vista Campground in Buena is a 175-acre property with more than 600 sites offering RV, tent, and cabin stays. Under Diamond Hospitality Group, the campground is entering a new chapter with upgraded amenities and a family focus. Buena Vista Camping Park is another nearby option along the same US-40 corridor. Families often head to Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: South Jersey in Williamstown, a character-themed resort with pools, a swimming lake, jumping pillows, and RV sites with 50-amp full hookups. For a state-park experience, Parvin State Park lies just under five miles west of Vineland and about 40 miles south of Philadelphia, on the south shore of Parvin Lake. Old Cedar Campground in Monroeville rounds out the options as a smaller, quieter park suited to campers who want fewer resort-style extras.

Reservation systems differ between the state park and the private resorts. Online reservations for Parvin State Park are made through the New Jersey State Park Service at camping.nj.gov. Sites can be reserved well in advance, and popular summer weekends and the park's cabins fill quickly, so book early. Buena Vista Campground handles bookings through its own website and by email, and Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: South Jersey takes reservations directly through its site and Campspot. Buena Vista Camping Park and Old Cedar Campground book through their own operator channels by phone and online. For summer holiday weekends across all of these parks, aim to reserve one to three months out, and confirm RV length limits and hookup type when booking.
