Things to do near Peapack and Gladstone
Outdoor activity centers on the state parks. A section of the multi-state Highlands Trail also runs the length of the park.
Voorhees State Park draws stargazers and hikers. The park features eleven multi-use trails traversing about nine miles of deciduous forest, CCC pine plantations, and Willoughby Brook. Spring brings trout stocking and cool nights. During spring, NJ Fish and Wildlife stock the Musconetcong River with brown, rainbow and brook trout, drawing anglers to Stephens State Park. Summer is the busiest window, with weekends often reserved weeks ahead and heat and humidity typical of the Mid-Atlantic. Fall delivers foliage and quieter weekdays before campgrounds close at the end of October.
Winter closes most local grounds. Voorhees multi-use trails can be used for cross-country skiing during the winter months, but overnight camping at the state parks is unavailable until spring. Black bears are active throughout the warm months, and campers should store food securely and keep sites clean.

I accept the charges as followed. However I do not accept charge for 4 days. I only had the vehicle for 3 days. I'd like to dispute the 4th day charged for 250.00

Booking and how to reserve
New Jersey state park campsites are booked through the state's central reservation portal at camping.nj.gov. Voorhees State Park and its campgrounds are administered by Spruce Run Recreation Area, and the Spruce Run park office handles questions at 908-638-8572. Stephens State Park reservations run through the same statewide system, with the park office reachable at 908-852-3790.
Private resorts book direct. Panther Lake Camping Resort takes reservations by phone or website, and the majority of sites house seasonal residents, so weekend availability for transient RVs can be tight. Fla-Net Park in Flanders books through its own office. Book summer weekends and fall foliage weekends as early as possible.
Alcohol is prohibited in New Jersey state park campgrounds, and pets are only permitted at campgrounds with designated pet-friendly sites. The Voorhees campground itself does not allow pets.
What to expect
State park sites in this part of New Jersey are rustic and best suited to smaller rigs. Stephens State Park offers thirty-nine tent and small trailer sites with fire rings and picnic tables, with flush toilets and showers within walking distance. Voorhees has 47 tent and trailer sites without individual hookups; a sanitary dump station for Voorhees campers is located at Spruce Run Recreation Area. Cell service is inconsistent in the wooded hills, so downloading maps in advance is smart.
Private resorts offer more amenities but a different feel. Panther Lake operates wooded sites that provide more privacy and open sections designed for larger rigs, with cell service spotty throughout most of the property and reliable coverage limited to areas near the entrance, pool, and pavilion. Fla-Net Park provides full hookups with 30 and 50 amp service. Wildlife is common: expect deer, wild turkey, and the possibility of black bears. Tick checks and bug spray are advisable.
