Campgrounds and RV parks near Coxsackie, NY

Coxsackie sits on the west bank of the Hudson River in Greene County, roughly 25 minutes south of Albany via I-87 and within reach of both the Catskill Mountains and the mid-Hudson Valley. The village makes a practical base for RV travelers who want river access, small-town amenities, and quick highway connections to hiking, waterfalls, and state parks farther inland. Private campgrounds cluster around the surrounding countryside. Treetopia Campground focuses on cabins, glamping tents, Airstream rentals, and traditional RV sites in a wooded Catskill setting. Whip-O-Will Campsite, Blackthorne Campground, Brook-n-Wood Family Campground, and Country Campsites at Michael Dees Motel round out the nearby options for families and mixed groups. Public camping is available a short drive away at Schodack Island State Park on the Hudson and at Catskill Forest Preserve campgrounds such as North-South Lake in the mountains west of town. Together, these choices give renters a range of hookup levels and site styles within a compact area.

New York State Parks and DEC-run Catskill campgrounds, including Schodack Island and North-South Lake, are booked through the state's ReserveAmerica system. A rolling reservation window lets renters book up to nine months in advance, and popular summer weekends often fill within days of opening. Private campgrounds near Coxsackie such as Treetopia Campground, Whip-O-Will Campsite, Blackthorne Campground, Brook-n-Wood Family Campground, and Country Campsites at Michael Dees Motel handle bookings directly through their own websites or by phone. Some accept online requests only, and a few still prefer cash or check on arrival, so it is worth confirming payment methods when booking. For holiday weekends and foliage weeks, reserve at least six to eight weeks out. Midweek stays in June or September usually have more flexibility.
