Campgrounds and RV parks near Fallsburg, NY

Fallsburg sits in Sullivan County in the southern Catskills, about two hours northwest of New York City. The Neversink River runs through town, and the surrounding hills, lakes, and forests put RV travelers within short driving distance of Catskill Park, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, and dozens of small hamlets that make up the old Borscht Belt. The area is a mix of private RV resorts and public forest preserve land. Family-focused parks such as Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Birchwood Acres and Skyway Camping Resort cluster along the Route 52 and Route 42 corridors, while Catskill RV Resort and Covered Bridge Campsite sit closer to the Neversink and its tributaries. Full-hookup sites are the norm at private grounds; state-run options in the broader Catskills run more rustic. Fallsburg works well as a base for renters who want swimming lakes, easy road trips to Woodstock and the Delaware River, and a shorter haul from the New York metro area than the Adirondacks.

Private resorts around Fallsburg, including Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort: Birchwood Acres, Skyway Camping Resort, Catskill RV Resort, and Covered Bridge Campsite, take reservations directly through their own websites or by phone. Summer weekends, July 4th, and Labor Day are the first dates to sell out, often six to eight weeks in advance for pull-through and full-hookup sites. New York State DEC campgrounds in the broader Catskills use ReserveAmerica and open bookings on a rolling nine-month window. State parks with camping, such as those on the Hudson side, book through the same New York State Parks reservation portal. For last-minute trips, midweek arrivals and Sunday-through-Thursday stays are the most reliable way to secure a site in July and August.
