Campgrounds and RV parks near Beech Creek, PA

Beech Creek sits in Clinton County in northcentral Pennsylvania, along the western edge of the Bald Eagle Valley. RV travelers use it as a base for accessing Bald Eagle State Park, Bald Eagle State Forest, and the State College area to the southwest. Interstate 80 runs just south of town, making it a practical stop for east-west RV routes across Pennsylvania. The closest developed campground is Bald Eagle State Park, which surrounds the 1,730-acre Foster Joseph Sayers Reservoir and offers modern campsites with electric hookups and dump station access. Private options in the broader area include Bellefonte / State College KOA Holiday, Gram and Paps Fort Bellefonte Campground, and Hemlock Acres Camping Area, each roughly a half-hour drive from Beech Creek. Centre County Grange Fairgrounds provides additional overflow camping tied to regional events. The mix of state park, private resort, and rural family campgrounds gives RV renters a range of hookup levels, from rustic sites to full-service pull-throughs suited to larger rigs.

Bald Eagle State Park sites are reserved through the Pennsylvania State Parks and Forests reservation system online or by calling 888-PA-PARKS, Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance, with a three-day advance requirement for most sites. The same system handles motorized roadside camping in Bald Eagle State Forest, where stays are capped at seven nights and campers must vacate for at least 48 hours before returning. Bellefonte / State College KOA Holiday takes reservations directly through the KOA website or by phone, with a credit card required for the deposit. Cancellations for RV and tent sites require seven days notice and cabins require fourteen days, with two-week and four-week windows applying on Penn State event weekends.
