There's not much to say other than the experience was fantastic. Jen and her husband our very attentive. They'll show you everything you need to know. If you have any questions or have any issues, they get back to you. Which is the best part about it? And they leave you with it was something special a great experience. The trailer was nice and easy to tow. Love the awning, the stereo system. The outdoor kitchen, there's enough plugs to charge anything you need showers, a decent size for a big fella like me. Perfect for my wife. Water gets nice and hot fredge keeps the beer nice and cold and also the food. There's everything you need in that trailer. From c******* to chalks and levels so much fun. Would definitely do this again.

We rented the trailer for our wedding weekend, and Jennifer left us a bottle of champagne and some nice goodies, so thoughtful! Trailer was clean, bed is a bit uncomfortable. It was easy to pickup, however it was locked with the keys hanging inside, fortunately the front compartment was unlocked so we had to crawl in through it under the bed. Jennifer was easy to get ahold of if needed! Overall good experience.

Good news: a regular Ontario Class G driver's licence (or the equivalent from your home province, state or country) is all you need to rent an RV in Durham. No commercial licence, no air brake endorsement, and no RV-specific course is required for the motorhomes and travel trailers listed on RVezy. Approved drivers are generally 25 or older, and RVezy verifies your ID right inside the booking flow, so there is no extra paperwork to chase down. Visiting from overseas? During checkout you choose the protection tier that fits your trip, so you stay in control of your coverage level before you ever turn the key. You can review what each tier covers in the RVezy Help Center before you confirm your booking.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if I need to cancel my Durham RV trip?
Plans change, and RVezy is built to handle that. If a host cancels on you, RVezy issues a refund or travel credit so your trip can stay on track. If a major weather event hits Grey County, like a Saugeen River flood warning or a winter storm rolling off Georgian Bay, RVezy's support team can help you weigh your options. Support is available 7 days a week if your plans shift.

Most local campgrounds, including Durham Conservation Area and Amazing Rocky Park, allow leashed pets on site. To find it fast, toggle the Delivery filter on the search page and message the host with your campsite number. You show up, unlock the door, and start your Durham RV trip.

ontario.ca/page/road-conditionsWhat are the best campgrounds near Durham, Ontario?
You are spoiled for choice. The top pick for RV camping Durham locals recommend is Durham Conservation Area on Durham Road East, with riverside sites, electrical hook-ups, and a short walk to McGowan Falls. Rocky Saugeen Park on Rocky Saugeen Road offers riverfront sites with frontage on the Rocky Saugeen. Saugeen Cedars Family Campground in nearby Hanover has serviced sites along the river. For Georgian Bay views, Harrison Park in Owen Sound is about 45 minutes north. saugeenconservation.ca/en/parks-and-trails/durham-conservation-area.aspxWhen is the best time of year to rent an RV in Durham?
Late May through early October is prime time for a Durham RV trip, when daytime highs run from 18 to 26 degrees Celsius (65 to 80 Fahrenheit) and the Saugeen River is warm enough for swimming and tubing. July and August are the busiest, while June and September give you cooler nights, fewer bugs and easier campsite availability. Fall colour around the Saugeen Valley typically peaks in the first two weeks of October, making it a stunning shoulder-season pick. Durham Conservation Area now offers winter camping too, so if you're up for snowshoeing along the river, a January getaway is genuinely magical.
climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_normals/index_e.htmlI'm a first-time RV renter, how does this work in Durham?
First time renting an RV? You're going to be fine. Every RVezy host in Durham gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup or delivery, covering propane, the water system, slide-outs, the awning, and how to dump tanks at the end of the trip. Most first-timers in Durham choose a travel trailer or small Class C motorhome because they're easy to manoeuvre on Highway 6 and the quiet back roads around West Grey. You can message the host before booking with any question, no matter how basic, and RVezy's support team is available 24/7 in case anything comes up between McGowan Falls and your driveway.
ontario.ca/page/learn-drive-ontarioWhat happens if I break down during my Durham RV trip?
You are never stranded. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, so one call gets you a tow, tire change, jump start, fuel delivery or lock-out help anywhere from downtown Durham to a back road outside Priceville. Your host is also just a message away through the RVezy app for quick troubleshooting, often a flipped breaker or a propane valve fix. CAA operates throughout Grey County for added backup if you carry a membership, and Highway 6 has full-service fuel stops in Durham, Hanover and Mount Forest if you need supplies on the way.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Durham RV rental across the border into the United States?
Cross-border travel from Durham is possible on many RVezy rentals, but you'll want to confirm it with your host before booking since insurance and protection coverage depend on the specific listing. Travel to Mexico is not permitted on any RVezy rental. For US trips, message the host directly from the listing page, share your route (popular runs from Durham head to the Sarnia-Port Huron crossing about 2.5 hours away, then on to Michigan or the Smokies), and they'll confirm what's approved. Bring your passport, vehicle ownership documents the host provides, and proof of your RVezy booking when you reach the border.
cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/menu-eng.htmlWhat kind of fuel mileage and gas budget should I plan for?
Budget realistically and you'll enjoy the trip way more. A Class C motorhome around Durham averages 18 to 22 litres per 100 km, a travel trailer pulled by a half-ton truck runs about 16 to 20 litres per 100 km, and a Class B campervan rental Durham travellers love (think Sprinter-based vans) sips closer to 12 to 14 litres per 100 km. With Ontario pump prices typically hovering around $1.45 to $1.65 per litre, a four-night loop covering 600 km in a Class C costs roughly $175 to $225 in fuel. Fill up in Hanover or Mount Forest, prices are often a few cents cheaper there than at smaller stations.
ontario.ca/page/gasoline-pricesHow far in advance should I book a campground near Durham?
For the best campgrounds near Durham, book early, especially for long weekends. Durham Conservation Area reservations open in early February each year through the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority's online system, and Victoria Day, Canada Day and the August Civic long weekend often sell out within hours. Ontario Parks like Inverhuron and MacGregor Point on Lake Huron open reservations five months ahead through the Ontario Parks reservation site. For private parks like Rocky Saugeen Park, calling in March will help lock in waterfront sites. Pro tip: midweek sites Sunday to Thursday are almost always available even in peak July, perfect for a flexible RV road trip from Durham.
reservations.ontarioparks.ca/What are the driving conditions like around Durham?
Driving an RV in and out of Durham is genuinely easy. Highway 6 runs straight through town and is a wide, well-maintained two-lane highway connecting you north to Owen Sound and south to Guelph, while Grey Road 4 is the scenic east-west route to Flesherton and Hanover. Roads are flat to gently rolling, with no big mountain grades. Watch for farm equipment in May and harvest season, deer at dusk along Concession roads, and snow squalls off Georgian Bay from November through March. In winter, check Ontario 511 before you leave. Avoid tight downtown turns at Garafraxa and Lambton with longer Class A rigs and use the Durham Road East approach instead.

Payment is straightforward and handled entirely through RVezy, so no cash or e-transfers change hands with your host. You pay a portion when you book to confirm your Durham RV rental, with the balance charged before your trip starts. The refundable security deposit is separate from your booking payment and is pre-authorized on your credit card before pickup, never charged unless there is verified damage, and released back to you after the host completes the post-trip inspection.
