2019 Leisure Travel Vans Class B
Vincent, I wanted to reach out and give a special shoutout to you and your beautiful travel van. My girlfriend and I recently spent a weekend at Bartlett Lake and were blown away by how easy it was to book the reservation, as well as your clear and quick communication. Regarding the trip itself, our setup was by far the best-looking one at the site. The van is beautiful on the outside, and the interior was spotless, comfortable, and equipped with appliances in tip-top shape. The bed and provided linens were very comfortable, and the showers were nice and hot. As a first-time RV driver, I also found the vehicle very easy and smooth to operate. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. We highly recommend your van to anyone looking to camp in style. Thank you again for such an amazing experience! Best regards, Chris Skuda

I have rented Ian's sprinter van multiple times and I know I will rent it many more times in the near future! Its an incredible van capable of going anywhere worth going, with immense comfort and everything very well planned out. The Starlink is also a huge upgrade from my usual camping experience; we had flawless high speed internet in the grand canyon, of all places. And the bed is shockingly comfortable, might be better than my bed at home. I would recommend this van to first-timers, seasoned campers, and everyone in between.

I've never driven an RV before. Will I be okay?

You'll do great. Cave Creek itself is ideal for new drivers: wide desert roads, easy access to State Route 51 and Loop 101, and very little urban congestion compared to central Phoenix. Can I take my Cave Creek RV rental to other states or Mexico?

Most Cave Creek RV rentals are road-trip ready for the western US, with popular routes heading into Utah (Zion is about 7 hours), Nevada (Las Vegas is roughly 5 hours), California, New Mexico, and Colorado. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and protection coverage does not extend across that border. Cross-country and multi-state itineraries are fine: just message the host before booking so they can confirm mileage and any one-way drop-off options. A classic RV road trip from Cave Creek hits Sedona, the Grand Canyon, and Monument Valley in about a week. Map your route, pad in a rest day, and let the open road do the rest.

What should I budget for fuel on a Cave Creek RV trip?

Fuel is usually the biggest variable on any Cave Creek RV trip, so a quick budget makes a big difference. Expect 7 to 10 miles per gallon (MPG) for larger Class A and Class C motorhomes, 12 to 18 MPG for Class B campervans, and around 10 to 14 MPG combined when towing a travel trailer. Arizona gas typically runs a bit below the national average, with stations in nearby Phoenix and Carefree usually cheapest. For a 500-mile loop (say, Cave Creek to Sedona to the Grand Canyon and back), budget roughly $150 to $250 in fuel for a mid-sized motorhome. Fill up before heading into remote stretches of Tonto National Forest where stations are sparse.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Cave Creek?

For the cool season (October through April), book campgrounds near Cave Creek as early as you can, ideally 4 to 6 months out for weekends and holidays. Cave Creek Regional Park, Lake Pleasant Regional Park, and McDowell Mountain Regional Park all reserve through the Maricopa County Parks system, where bookings open up to 6 months in advance and prime cool-weather sites go fast. For shoulder-season weekday stays, 2 to 4 weeks ahead is usually plenty. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder for exactly 6 months before your target check-in date and book the moment the window opens. That's how locals snag the best pull-throughs with full hookups.

Driving around Cave Creek is genuinely RV-friendly. Main routes like Cave Creek Road, Carefree Highway (SR 74), and Loop 101 are wide, well-paved, and easy to navigate with a motorhome rental Cave Creek travelers commonly drive. Stay alert for two local quirks: dust storms (haboobs) that occasionally roll through during monsoon season (July to September), and flash floods at desert washes after heavy rain. Never drive through flowing water. If you're heading up to Sedona or Flagstaff, expect steep grades on I-17, so use lower gears descending and check brakes beforehand. Avoid downtown Phoenix during rush hour. The 101 loop around the city is your RV-friendly bypass and saves you serious stress.

How do payment and the security deposit work?

Payment for your Cave Creek RV rental runs entirely through the secure RVezy platform, so you won't hand cash or a check to the host. You pay with a credit or debit card at booking, and the security deposit is placed as a separate authorization hold shortly before your trip, not an immediate charge. The hold is released after drop-off, typically within a few business days, as long as the RV is returned in the same condition it left. To avoid deposit issues, snap photos at pickup and drop-off, return with the same fuel and propane levels, and follow the host's guidelines on dumping tanks. Simple steps, smooth ending, and you'll be ready to book your next campervan rental Cave Creek adventure.
