2022 Jayco Travel Trailer
Renting Brandon's 2022 Jayco Jay Feather Micro 199mbs was an awesome and smooth experience! He was super flexible with the pickup, and drop-off time. This was my first time renting a camper trailer and to be honest, it was kind of overwhelming at first, but Brandon walked me through every detail and put all of my concerns to rest. He was also available for any and all questions and responded immediately. There were quite a few features on this trailer, and with his help, I'm now an experienced trailer camper! He's also super friendly and professional. Furthermore, I requested a few add-ons that made the experience even better: we got the fishing, smores and inflatable SUP kit add-ons. The inflatable paddle board was of amazing quality, it was hard to believe it was just inflatable. Now I want one for myself. Brandon was on point and I'm already looking for an excuse to rent it again from him. My Family didn't want to leave the trailer and I wish I had rented it for longer.

What is the cancellation policy if my Preston RV trip plans change?

Booking an RV rental in Preston is low-risk thanks to RVezy's platform-wide cancellation policy. RVezy, not individual hosts, sets the cancellation terms, and there is a grace period after booking where you can cancel for a full refund. After that, your refund depends on how far out from your trip start date you cancel, and special circumstances like wildfire smoke events or natural disasters in southeastern Idaho are reviewed by our support team. Because the Bear River Range can see surprise spring snowstorms, this flexibility is genuinely useful. You'll see the exact policy details during checkout before you confirm your trip.

Yes, first time renting an RV in Preston is genuinely manageable, and most guests are surprised how quickly it clicks. Budgeting fuel for your Preston RV trip is straightforward once you know what to expect. Campervans (Class B) typically get 18 to 22 mpg, Class C motorhomes 8 to 14 mpg, Class A gas rigs 6 to 10 mpg, and a truck pulling a travel trailer about 10 to 14 mpg. Most motorhomes around Preston run on regular unleaded; diesel pushers use diesel. Idaho gas prices generally track a bit below the national average, and you'll find competitive pricing at the Maverik and Phillips 66 stations on State Street in Preston before heading into the mountains. Pro tip: top off in Preston or Montpelier before driving Logan Canyon, stations are sparse on the byway.

Idaho State Parks (including Bear Lake State Park's Mountain Fawn, East Beach, and Birch Campgrounds) open reservations up to 9 months in advance through the Idaho State Parks reservation system, and the famous turquoise-water sites sell out within minutes for July weekends. Caribou-Targhee National Forest sites at Paris Springs and Willow Flat book through Recreation.gov, also up to 6 months ahead. Private parks like Cub River Lodge and Riverdale Resort can usually be booked closer to your travel date. Pro tip: midweek arrivals are dramatically easier to score than Friday or Saturday nights.

What are driving conditions like around Preston for an RV?

Driving an RV around Preston is generally relaxed compared to a big-city trip. US-91 and ID-34 through town are wide, flat, and low-traffic, perfect for getting comfortable behind the wheel. The drives get more scenic (and more interesting) as you climb into Logan Canyon on US-89 toward Bear Lake, with grades up to 7% and a few tighter bends, take your time and use engine braking on the descent. Winter brings snow and ice from November through March on mountain passes, so check the Idaho 511 road conditions website before heading out. Pro tip: avoid Sardine Canyon south of Logan during a winter storm, the locals will tell you it's the dicey stretch.
