Ever was there for us every time we needed something explained. Unfortunately, that seemed to be a lot. He came thru with a smile in his voice as he walked thru either myself or my husband as we tried to remember the many features on his van. We sincerely thank him for that! We expected it to be larger from the pictures. 2 adults would be best. A child or 2, but not really 4 adults. He let us take our dog and cat and it was a bit cramped.

How much does an RV rental in Glasgow, KY typically cost?
Great news for budget-minded travelers: RV rental in Glasgow, KY is one of the more affordable basecamps for exploring south-central Kentucky. On RVezy, you'll generally find travel trailers starting around $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes in the $175 to $275 range, and larger Class A rigs from about $250 to $400 per night, with prices dipping in late fall and winter. rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Glasgow%2C%20KentuckyDo I need a special license to rent an RV in Glasgow, KY?
Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Glasgow and explore Kentucky. The Commonwealth does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or any special endorsement for personal-use motorhomes and travel trailers under 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), which covers virtually every RV on the RVezy platform. To book, approved drivers are generally 25 or older with a valid license, and RVezy verifies your ID online before pickup, so there's no extra DMV trip. Visiting from outside the U.S.? Grab an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home auto club before your trip and you're set to roll through Barren County.

Kentucky is one of the cheaper states to fuel up in, which keeps your RV camping Glasgow budget happy. eec.ky.gov/Pages/default.aspxHow far in advance should I book campgrounds near Glasgow?
Earlier is better, especially in summer. Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds on Barren River Lake (Baileys Point, The Narrows, Tailwater) take reservations through Recreation.gov on a 6-month rolling window, and weekend sites for June through August fill within days of opening. Mammoth Cave Campground also books out months ahead via Recreation.gov for peak season. Kentucky State Parks like Barren River Lake State Resort Park use Reserve America and open about a year in advance. Pro tip: aim for a Sunday-to-Thursday stay if you're booking last-minute, and set a free availability alert. Off-season (November to March) you can often roll up with just a day's notice.
recreation.gov/gateways/352What are the driving conditions like around Glasgow, KY?
Driving in and around Glasgow is genuinely RV-friendly. Most roads are gently rolling two-lane state highways like US-31E, KY-90, and KY-63, with wide shoulders and low traffic. I-65 (about 12 miles west via the Cumberland Parkway) is the main artery to Louisville and Nashville and handles big rigs all day long. Watch for a few tighter spots: the curvy stretch on KY-252 down to Barren River Dam, low-clearance railroad bridges in downtown Glasgow (stick to the bypass with anything over 12 feet), and occasional fog in the karst lowlands during spring mornings. Pro tip: avoid driving through downtown Glasgow's square; loop around on US-68 bypass instead.

parks.ky.gov/glasgow/parks/resort/barren-river-lake-state-resort-parkHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy at booking with a credit or debit card, and your funds are held until your trip starts, so neither you nor the host has to handle cash. A refundable security deposit (set by the host, typically $500 to $1,500 for Glasgow-area rentals) is pre-authorized separately from your booking payment and released back to your card after the trip if there's no damage, no missing items, and the RV is returned with the agreed fuel and tank levels. To avoid issues, do the walkthrough carefully at pickup, snap a few photos, and follow the host's return checklist. That's it, you're clear to enjoy your Kentucky adventure.
