Specifics depend on how far out from your trip you cancel and whether a qualifying event like severe Finger Lakes weather is involved. The full policy is laid out clearly in the RVezy Help Center before you confirm payment. Pro tip: if a snowstorm closes Route 38 or a host has an unexpected issue, RVezy's 24/7 support team can help you rebook or sort out a refund quickly.

iloveny.com/places-to-go/finger-lakes/How much should I budget for fuel on a Moravia RV trip?
Fuel is one of the easier costs to plan for. New York gas prices around Cayuga County typically run a bit above the national average, so budget accordingly. Class B campervans get the best mileage at 18 to 22 mpg, Class C motorhomes return roughly 10 to 14 mpg, and larger Class A rigs land around 7 to 10 mpg. For a typical 200-mile weekend loop from Moravia around the Finger Lakes in a Class C, expect to spend $80 to $120 on gas. Pro tip: midweek availability is much better, and if you're flexible, the electric loop at Fillmore Glen is the gem to chase for your motorhome rental Moravia adventure.
newyorkstateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/fillmore-glen-state-park/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NY&parkId=186What are driving conditions like around Moravia?
Driving around Moravia is refreshingly low-stress compared to bigger New York cities. NY-38 is the main artery through town, a paved two-lane road that connects Auburn (about 20 miles north) to Cortland (about 25 miles east) and runs right past Fillmore Glen. The terrain is gently rolling Finger Lakes hill country, with a few steeper grades on the back roads heading east toward Summerhill State Forest. Winter brings real lake-effect snow from November through March, so winter rentals require caution. Watch for deer at dawn and dusk year-round. Pro tip: stick to NY-38, NY-38A, and Route 90 for the smoothest big-rig driving, and avoid narrow seasonal roads like Rockefeller Road if you're in a 30-foot-plus Class A.
511ny.org/What amenities do campgrounds near Moravia offer?
You'll have everything you need close to camp. Fillmore Glen State Park has flush toilets, hot showers, a centrally located dump station, potable water spigots throughout the loops (not at individual sites), a stream-fed swimming pool, a playground, and 14 electric sites with 20/30/50 amp service. The other 46 sites are non-electric but spacious and shaded on the outer loops. Most campgrounds near Moravia, NY allow campfires in provided rings, and firewood is sold on-site. To dump and refill water mid-trip, the Fillmore Glen dump station is open to registered campers. Pro tip: arrive with full fresh water tanks since hookups aren't at the site, and bring a 50-foot drinking-water hose so you can reach the central spigot easily.
parks.ny.gov/parks/fillmore-glen/details.aspxWhat's actually inside the RVs available to rent in Moravia?
More than you might expect. Most RVs on RVezy in the Moravia area come fully equipped: real beds (queens are standard, bunks in family rigs), a kitchen with a fridge, propane stove, microwave, and sink, a bathroom with a toilet and shower, climate control, dining seating with seatbelts for travel, and outdoor amenities like an awning and exterior speakers. Many rigs also include a TV, onboard generator, solar setup, or backup camera. Wifi is typically not built in, but hotspots are easy to add. Hosts often include starter kits with linens, kitchenware, and outdoor chairs. Pro tip: check the listing's amenity list and message the host if you need something specific like a roof rack for kayaks to paddle the Owasco Inlet.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Moravia%2C%20New%20YorkWhat add-ons and extras can I get with my Moravia RV rental?
Hosts in the Moravia area offer plenty of useful add-ons to make your trip easier. Common extras include camping chairs and tables ($10 to $25 per trip), kitchen and linen packages ($25 to $75), generators ($15 to $40 per day), bike racks, portable grills, and even kayaks or paddleboards perfect for Owasco Lake. Delivery and setup is the most popular add-on, with hosts driving the rig right to Fillmore Glen and handling all the hookups. Pickup is usually at the host's home or a meeting spot agreed in advance. Mileage policies vary by listing, with typical free-mile allotments of 100 to 150 miles per day and per-mile fees beyond that. Pro tip: bundle add-ons during booking to keep things simple at pickup.
parks.ny.gov/parks/fillmore-glenHow does payment and the security deposit work for an RVezy rental in Moravia?
Payment is straightforward and fully handled by RVezy, so no cash changes hands with your host. You pay through the platform when you book, and a refundable security deposit is held on your credit card before your trip starts. The deposit amount varies by RV and is released after the host confirms the rig was returned in the same condition. Pro tip: do a quick photo walkaround with your host at pickup and dropoff, return the rig with the fuel and propane levels noted in your agreement, and dump the tanks before returning to avoid extra fees. Doing those three things almost guarantees a smooth security deposit return.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksAre RVs available year-round in Moravia, including winter?
Yes, you can rent an RV in Moravia all year, though winter trips need a little extra planning. Moravia winters are genuinely cold and snowy, with January highs in the 20s°F and lake-effect snow possible from November through March. Fillmore Glen State Park's campground closes mid-October and reopens in mid-May, but many private hosts on RVezy offer winterized rigs with heated holding tanks, enclosed underbellies, and propane furnaces perfect for snowy adventures. You can park overnight at private campgrounds that stay open seasonally or use shore power at properties that allow RV stays. Pro tip: ask your host specifically about heated tanks and whether the rig is rated for sub-freezing camping, and pack a small space heater plus extra propane for cozy nights under the Finger Lakes stars.
