In a word - excellent. That’s how I would describe the experience with Steve and his RV. Well-appointed, very clean, and a comprehensive manual for renters. Steve (and his wife and son) were such great collaborators in general, particularly for a festival drop off that was anything but straightforward! Next May, I will be renting from Steve again if the RV is available.

Good value for the money. Rv was in good condition and ready to go on pickup. Everyone was very friendly, helpful and responsive. 9/10 would rent from again, 9 only for the purposes that we may rent a bigger rv in the future. But it reasonably accommodated 9 people for its size. We had a great trip.

RV rental in Coshocton is one of the most affordable ways to explore Ohio's Amish Country and Roscoe Village. On RVezy you'll generally find travel trailers starting around $90 to $150 per night, Class C motorhomes between $175 and $275 per night, and larger Class A rigs from $250 to $400 per night. Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Coshocton, OH?

Good news, your regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Coshocton. Ohio does not require a commercial driver's license (CDL) or any special endorsement for personal-use recreational vehicles, even larger Class A motorhomes. To book on RVezy, you'll just need to be 25 or older with a valid driver's license, and the platform handles ID verification securely during checkout. Visiting from outside the US? Grab an International Driving Permit (IDP) from your home country's auto association before you fly in. Then it's just pickup, walkthrough with your host, and you're off to Roscoe Village.

What's the cancellation policy if my Coshocton RV trip plans change?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy sets a clear cancellation policy for every trip (hosts don't choose it), and it includes a full money-back grace period right after you book. That means you can lock in that perfect rig for the Coshocton Hot Air Balloon Festival or Roscoe Village's Christmas Candlelighting without feeling boxed in. Pro tip: book early to get the best selection, then review the exact cancellation terms in the RVezy Help Center for your dates.

What kind of fuel mileage should I expect, and what does gas cost around Coshocton?

Budgeting fuel for your Coshocton RV trip is pretty straightforward. Expect roughly 6 to 10 mpg for a Class A motorhome, 8 to 12 mpg for a Class C, 15 to 20 mpg for a Class B campervan, and 10 to 14 mpg for a truck towing a travel trailer. Gas prices in Coshocton County tend to track close to the Ohio average, with reliable fill-up stops along US-36 near downtown. Diesel is widely available along the I-77 corridor near Cambridge, about 25 miles east. Pro tip: top off before heading deep into Amish Country, station density drops between Coshocton and Berlin.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Coshocton?

For the best sites you'll want to book early, but Coshocton is more forgiving than big-name national parks. Salt Fork State Park accepts reservations up to six months in advance through the Reserve Ohio system, and summer weekends and the October fall-foliage stretch fill quickly. Coshocton KOA and Colonial Campground take reservations directly through their websites or by phone, and shoulder-season midweek stays are often bookable just days out. The Coshocton County Fair and Hot Air Balloon Festival weekends are the toughest to snag. Pro tip: if Salt Fork is sold out, check again Sunday evenings, cancellations roll in after weekend trips wrap up.

What are the driving conditions like around Coshocton?

Driving an RV around Coshocton is refreshingly mellow, no big-city traffic, no mountain passes, and no toll roads in the immediate area. You'll mostly use US-36, US-16, and State Routes 83, 60, and 541, all two-lane country roads winding through the Appalachian foothills with gentle grades. Watch for Amish horse-and-buggy traffic in the northern part of the county (especially Sundays), and slow down on hilly curves where shoulders are narrow. Winter can bring snow and ice from December through February, so most renters stick to April through November. Pro tip: avoid Whitewoman Street in Roscoe Village with a big rig, park at the visitor center lot and walk in instead.

Salt Fork State Park has a mix of full-hookup, electric-only, and non-electric sites plus dump stations near the campground entrance. Most parks have showers, flush toilets, and potable water spigots throughout. Pro tip: fill your fresh tank before leaving the campground, public water fills are limited along the Three Rivers Wine Trail route.

What's typically included inside a Coshocton RV rental?

Most RVezy rentals in Coshocton come fully road-ready, you're really just packing clothes and groceries. Expect a full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, sink, and cookware, a bathroom with toilet and shower, comfortable sleeping for 2 to 8 depending on the rig, dinette and lounge seating with seatbelts for travel, air conditioning and furnace, and a TV in many units. Larger Class A and Class C motorhomes often include generators for off-grid power, and a growing number of hosts offer Wi-Fi hotspots and solar setups. Pro tip: check the listing's amenity list and message the host to confirm bedding, towels, and kitchen starter kits, many include them or offer them as a small add-on.

Coshocton hosts offer some genuinely useful add-ons that make your trip smoother. How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and secure, you pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card at the time of booking, never directly to the host in cash. A refundable security deposit is held during your trip to cover potential incidentals like cleaning beyond normal use or minor damage not covered by your protection plan. As long as you return the RV in similar condition to pickup, the deposit is released back to your card after the trip wraps up. Pro tip: take a quick walk-around video at both pickup and drop-off in Coshocton, it's the easiest way to avoid any deposit disputes and gives you total peace of mind.
