Everything was Awesome, enjoyed working with The love birds. I would recommend anyone to use them. This was my first rv rental. Everything was explained to me how to work it. If I had any questions they were there to walk me through it.

Great experience with this team. They were very patient and answered our numerous questions quickly. This was our first experience with an RV and they made it very comfortable. The only thing that was a negative to me was the fact that they charge for gas to and from the location. I felt like this should have been taken from the delivery fee not charged on top of it. I also feel it should be disclosed prior to the RV being delivered.

Can I bring my dog on an RV rental in Duncan, SC?

Absolutely, and Upstate South Carolina is one of the most dog-friendly regions in the Southeast. Once you are on the road, your pup will love Croft State Park's wooded trails about 20 minutes east, Lake Bowen's shoreline, and the leash-friendly Cottonwood Trail in Spartanburg. Pro tip: pack a collapsible water bowl for summer days (Upstate heat indexes regularly climb into the high 90s in July) and a tie-out stake for relaxed evenings at the campsite.

When is the best time of year for an RV trip in Duncan, SC?

April through early June and September through early November are the sweet spots for a Duncan RV trip. Spring brings comfortable 70s, blooming dogwoods, and waterfalls running full at nearby Caesars Head and Table Rock. Fall delivers cool 65 to 75 degree afternoons and brilliant Blue Ridge foliage typically peaking mid-to-late October. Summers are hot and humid with July highs in the low 90s and high humidity, so look for strong AC and shaded sites. Winters are mild (highs in the 50s) and a fantastic value if you do not mind cool nights. Pro tip: target the last two weekends of October for peak leaf-peeping in the mountains an hour north.

I have never driven an RV before. Will I be okay?

You will do great, and Duncan is a friendly place to learn. Every RVezy host gives a thorough walkthrough at pickup covering driving, leveling, hookups, and how to dump tanks, so you are never left guessing. For first time renting an RV, choose a smaller Class C motorhome or a 20 to 25 foot travel trailer, and start with a shorter drive like the quick trip to Croft State Park before tackling the mountains. Stick to I-85, US-29, and SC-101 your first day; they are wide, flat, and well-marked. Pro tip: practice slow turns and backing up in a quiet, large parking lot before heading to your campsite.

From here you are a quick hop to North Carolina (Asheville, the Smokies), Georgia (Atlanta, Helen), and Tennessee (Gatlinburg, Nashville). Cross-border trips into Canada may be allowed depending on the specific host and protection plan, so message the host through the listing page before booking to confirm. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance coverage does not extend there. Popular multi-state loops from Duncan include the Blue Ridge Parkway run north and the coastal swing through Charleston and Savannah. Pro tip: ask hosts about one-way rentals for point-to-point road trips.

Budgeting fuel from Duncan is straightforward. South Carolina typically has some of the lowest gas prices in the country, and you will find competitive diesel and gas at the Pilot, Love's, and TA truck stops along I-85. Expect roughly 8 to 10 MPG for a Class A, 10 to 14 MPG for a Class C, and 12 to 18 MPG for a tow vehicle pulling a travel trailer. A round trip from Duncan to Asheville (about 140 miles total) runs roughly $40 to $70 in fuel for most motorhomes at current pump prices. Pro tip: use the GasBuddy app and fill up in SC before crossing into NC, where prices typically jump.

How far in advance should I book a campground near Duncan?

Booking early pays off, especially for South Carolina state parks. Croft, Table Rock, Paris Mountain, and Caesars Head open reservations well in advance through the official South Carolina State Parks reservation system, and summer weekends plus October foliage weekends sell out fastest. Private RV parks in Spartanburg County usually have more last-minute availability, often bookable 2 to 4 weeks ahead. For BMW Performance Center events, Spartanburg festivals, or Clemson football weekends, lock in your site 3+ months out. Pro tip: if state park sites are full, check Hipcamp and Harvest Hosts listings around Spartanburg County for unique private stays close to Duncan.

What are local driving conditions like around Duncan, SC?

Driving an RV around Duncan is refreshingly easy. The town sits right on I-85, a wide, well-maintained interstate with generous shoulders and clearly marked exits. Most local roads (SC-290, SC-101, US-29) handle motorhomes up to 40 feet with no problem. Watch for afternoon thunderstorms June through August (they roll in fast and pass quickly) and occasional fog in mountain passes if you head north toward Saluda Grade on US-25. Avoid driving downtown Greenville's Main Street in a big rig; park at a larger lot nearby and rideshare in. Pro tip: I-85 can back up at rush hour, so aim to travel between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

What amenities do campgrounds near Duncan offer for RVs?

You will find excellent infrastructure. Most RV parks and campgrounds near Duncan offer full hookups (water, 30/50-amp electric, and sewer), dump stations, potable water fill, hot showers, laundry, and Wi-Fi. Private parks in Spartanburg County typically have pull-through sites that fit Class A coaches. South Carolina state parks like Croft and Table Rock provide water and electric at every site with centralized dump stations near the exit. Public dump and water fill stations are also available at major truck stops along I-85. Pro tip: arrive before sunset on your first night so you can level, hook up, and orient yourself with daylight; Upstate humidity makes nighttime setup buggy in summer.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and secure. When you book an RV rental in Duncan, SC, you pay through the RVezy platform with a credit card (never cash to the host), and your payment is processed according to RVezy's booking payment schedule. As long as you return the rig clean, on time, and with no new damage, the hold is released after the trip ends. Pro tip: take date-stamped photos and a short walkaround video at pickup and dropoff to keep everything smooth and dispute-free.
