Everything was Awesome, enjoyed working with The love birds. I would recommend anyone to use them. This was my first rv rental. Everything was explained to me how to work it. If I had any questions they were there to walk me through it.

Great experience with this team. They were very patient and answered our numerous questions quickly. This was our first experience with an RV and they made it very comfortable. The only thing that was a negative to me was the fact that they charge for gas to and from the location. I felt like this should have been taken from the delivery fee not charged on top of it. I also feel it should be disclosed prior to the RV being delivered.

How much does it cost to rent an RV in Greer, SC?

An RV rental in Greer, SC is one of the most affordable ways to explore the Upstate, with most listings ranging from about $85 to $175 per night for travel trailers and $150 to $275 for Class C motorhomes. Do I need a special license to rent an RV in Greer, SC?

Good news: for nearly every RV you will rent in Greer, your regular driver's license is all you need. South Carolina only requires a non-commercial Class E or F license for the largest vehicles, and the vast majority of Class B campervans, Class C motorhomes, and travel trailers on RVezy fall well under that threshold. RVezy approved drivers are generally 25 or older, and ID verification happens right inside the platform so there is no extra paperwork at pickup. Visiting from abroad? Bring your home license plus an International Driving Permit and you are set to roll into the Blue Ridge foothills.

Is the RV covered if something goes wrong on my Greer RV trip?

Yes, every RV rental in Greer, SC booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you can hit Interstate 85 with real peace of mind. You choose your level of coverage at checkout (not the host), so you can match it to your comfort level and budget, and the plan helps protect you against most damage to the RV during your trip. Review the protection plan details carefully at booking, especially if you are planning mountain driving on US-25 toward Hendersonville or US-276 up to Caesars Head.

What if I need to cancel my Greer RV rental?

Booking an RV rental in Greer is low-risk because RVezy (not the host) sets a clear, guest-friendly cancellation policy that applies to every reservation. There is a money-back grace period right after you book, and refunds beyond that are based on how far out you are from your trip start date. Because the policy is handled at the platform level, you will not see a cancellation policy listed on individual Greer listings. Review the current cancellation policy on the RVezy Help Center before you book, especially for shoulder-season Upstate trips when fall foliage weather can shift fast.

I've never rented an RV before. Is Greer a good place to start?

Greer is a fantastic spot for your first time renting an RV. The terrain around town is mostly gentle rolling Piedmont (Greer sits at about 1,000 feet elevation), the roads are wide, and Interstate 85 makes pickup and reposition simple. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on orientation at pickup covering hookups, slide-outs, water, and propane, so you'll never be left guessing. You can also message your host any time before or during the trip with questions. Pro tip: for your first night, book a full-hookup site at GSP RV Park just 10 minutes from downtown Greer so you can practice leveling and dumping close to home before heading up the mountains.

What happens if I break down on my Greer RV trip?

You are never on your own. Every motorhome rental in Greer booked through RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so a flat tire on US-29 or a dead battery up at Caesars Head will not ruin your trip. One call connects you with help for towing, lockouts, jump-starts, and tire changes. Your host is also a message away for RV-specific quirks, and RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after every booking. Pro tip: snap photos of the RV at pickup and save your host's number and the roadside assistance line in your phone before you leave the Greer driveway.

What are the best RV road trip routes from Greer, SC?

An RV road trip from Greer puts the entire Southern Appalachian region within easy reach. The classic loop heads north on US-25 to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway (about 60 miles), continues to Great Smoky Mountains National Park (about 130 miles total), and circles back via Cherokee, NC. Another favorite is the Cherokee Foothills Scenic Byway (SC-11) west to Table Rock, Caesars Head, and Lake Jocassee, all within 50 miles. Heading south? Charleston is a doable 215-mile run for low-country beaches. Travel between US states is welcome, but trips into Mexico aren't covered by RVezy's protection package, so keep your route inside the US and Canada.

How much should I budget for fuel on a Greer RV trip?

Fuel is one of the easier line items to plan for in South Carolina, which consistently has some of the lowest gas prices in the country. Class B campervan rentals in Greer get roughly 18 to 22 mpg, Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 mpg, and big Class A rigs around 6 to 10 mpg. For a typical 4-day trip with 300 miles of driving in a Class C, budget around $120 to $180 for fuel. Pro tip: large truck stops and travel centers along I-85 between Greer and Spartanburg generally have the easiest RV access and competitive prices.

How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Greer?

For the best campgrounds near Greer, book as early as you can, especially the state parks. South Carolina State Parks (including Paris Mountain, Table Rock, Jones Gap, and Caesars Head) accept reservations up to 13 months in advance through reserve.southcarolinaparks.com, and weekends from April through October fill quickly. Private parks like GSP RV Park and Creekside RV Park in Greer are usually easier to book on shorter notice, often within a week or two. Pro tip: if your top-choice state park is sold out, check back the Sunday or Monday before your trip when cancellations often hit the system.

What are driving conditions like around Greer, SC?

Driving an RV around Greer is refreshingly low-stress for most of the year. Interstate 85 runs right through town with wide lanes, and US-29 and SC-101 are easy two- and four-lane routes. The bigger thing to plan for is the climb up to the Blue Ridge Escarpment: routes like US-276 to Caesars Head or US-25 toward Hendersonville include steep grades and tight curves, so take them slowly and use lower gears descending. Summer afternoons can bring sudden thunderstorms, and winter occasionally surprises the area with a brief ice event. Pro tip: avoid I-85 through Greenville between 4 and 6 p.m. on weekdays when commuter traffic stacks up.

What amenities do campgrounds near Greer typically offer?

Campgrounds near Greer, SC offer a great mix of full-service and rustic options. GSP RV Park and Creekside RV Park both have full hookups (water, sewer, 30/50-amp electric) plus Wi-Fi, while Paris Mountain State Park offers water and electric (no sewer) with a centrally located dump station. Most South Carolina state parks have hot showers, flush restrooms, fire rings, picnic tables, and potable water fill-ups at the entrance. Pro tip: if you're staying somewhere without sewer hookups, the dump station at Paris Mountain is open to registered campers, and many private parks in nearby Travelers Rest offer dump-and-fill services for a small fee on your way back to Greer.

Many Class C and Class A motorhomes on RVezy include a generator, outdoor speakers, a TV, and Wi-Fi or cellular hotspot. Travel trailers typically need a tow vehicle, while campervan rentals in Greer are fully self-contained. How does payment and the security deposit work?

Payment for your RV rental in Greer is simple and secure: you pay through RVezy at booking with a credit or debit card, so there is no cash or paperwork at pickup. A refundable security deposit is collected (or pre-authorized) separately from your booking payment to cover incidentals like minor damage or excess mileage, and the amount is shown clearly on the listing before you book. As long as you return the RV in the same condition you got it, the deposit is released back to you after the trip.
