2022 Keystone Travel Trailer
My family had a great time in the RV at a campsite in North Texas. The unit was very clean and spacious. They provide all essential needs within the unit and it was very easy to drive to the location. Olton walked through everything with me before heading out and hooking up the unit. I appreciate how friendly and accommodating he was and his responsiveness in communication.

2022 Grand Design Travel Trailer
We had a great experience renting this travel trailer. It was very well maintained, clean, and comfortable throughout our stay. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the fully stocked kitchen was a plus! The host was excellent—very responsive both before our trip and while we were on the road. We did run into an issue with the generator connection, but the host was quick to respond and genuinely helpful in troubleshooting the problem. Overall, despite the minor hiccup, we really enjoyed the trailer and appreciated how well it was cared for. We’d happily rent from this host again.

Travel trailers typically run about $90 to $160 per night, Class C motorhomes range from $175 to $275, and larger Class A rigs sit around $250 to $400. rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Wills%20Point%2C%20TexasWhat license do I need to rent an RV in Wills Point, TX?
Great news for first-timers: a regular Class C Texas driver's license (or your home state or country equivalent) is all you need to rent an RV in Wills Point, TX. No commercial driver's license (CDL) or special RV endorsement is required for any motorhome or travel trailer on the RVezy platform. Approved renters are generally 25 or older, and RVezy verifies your ID securely through the booking process so there is no paperwork hassle at pickup. Visiting from outside the US? Bring an International Driving Permit alongside your home license. Most renters are surprised how quick verification is, leaving you free to plan your Lake Tawakoni sunset.

help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat is the cancellation policy if my Wills Point RV trip plans change?
Booking is low-risk: RVezy sets the cancellation policy for every reservation (not the individual host), and it includes a money-back grace period right after you book. Go ahead and reserve that holiday weekend rig with confidence.

Yes, pet-friendly RV rental Wills Point options are plentiful on RVezy. Just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter when you search, and you'll see only the rigs whose hosts welcome four-legged co-pilots. Once you're on the road, the Lake Tawakoni State Park trails are leashed-dog friendly, and the open fields at Purtis Creek State Park give pups plenty of room to sniff. Pro tip: message your host before booking to confirm any pet fee or breed notes, then pack a bowl and a long leash.
tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/lake-tawakoniCan the RV be delivered to my campsite near Wills Point?

You won't touch a hitch unless you want to. Filter by Delivery on RVezy to see hosts who offer this service and their delivery radius. Most charge a flat fee plus per-mile after a set distance, and it's worth every penny.

Popular runs from Wills Point: Tyler State Park (about 35 miles), Lake Fork (30 miles), Dallas/Fort Worth (60 miles), Caddo Lake (130 miles), and Hot Springs, Arkansas (300 miles). rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Wills%20Point%2C%20TexasWhere are the best campgrounds near Wills Point for RV camping?

Canton I-20 RV Park sits 12 miles east with easy interstate access and full hookups, perfect for First Monday Trade Days weekends. Bluebonnet Ridge RV Park near Edgewood adds 64 acres of country quiet with a fishing lake. Patriot Escapes RV Resort just opened with concrete pads and a pool. Pro tip: book Texas state parks 5 months ahead on the Texas Parks and Wildlife reservation site, especially for spring weekends.
tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/lake-tawakoniWhen is the best time of year for an RV trip from Wills Point?
Wills Point shines from mid-March through late May and again from mid-September through early November. Spring brings bluebonnet fields (Wills Point is actually known as the Bluebird Capital of Texas) and daytime highs in the 70s and low 80s, while fall delivers crisp evenings around 50 and warm afternoons near 75. Summer is doable but hot, with July and August regularly hitting 95 to 100 degrees, so plan early mornings and lean on the AC. Winters are mild, typically 35 to 60 degrees, making it a sneaky-great season for off-peak rates. Pro tip: book your April trip during the Wills Point Bluebird Festival for a uniquely local experience.
weather.gov/fwd/I've never driven an RV. Will I be okay renting one in Wills Point?
You're going to be just fine, and you're not alone: first time renting an RV is how most RVezy guests start. Every host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup covering the slides, generator, propane, dump valves, and driving tips before you ever leave their driveway. The roads around Wills Point are forgiving for new drivers too: flat terrain, wide rural highways like US-80 and FM 47, and an easy I-20 on-ramp. If you'd rather skip driving altogether, choose a host who offers delivery and setup at your campground. Pro tip: book a travel trailer if your tow vehicle is rated for it, or pick a Class C for the easiest motorhome experience.
txdps.state.tx.us/section/driver-license/driver-handbooksWhat happens if I break down during my Wills Point RV trip?
Help is built in: every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the renter protection plan, so one phone call gets you a tow, tire change, jump start, or lockout service anywhere around Wills Point. You are covered along I-20, US-80, and any back road you take toward Tyler or Athens. Your host is your second lifeline, since they know the RV inside out and can walk you through quick fixes by phone, and RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: save the roadside number in your phone before you pull out of the driveway so you never have to scramble.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailCan I take my Wills Point RV rental across state lines or into Mexico?
Yes, an RV road trip from Wills Point across state lines is very doable and popular. Many hosts allow travel into Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and New Mexico, putting Hot Springs, Broken Bow Lake, and Roswell within reach. Confirm cross-border state travel with your host through the RVezy message system before booking, since some set specific travel zones. Travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals because insurance and roadside coverage end at the US border. Pro tip: a classic loop from Wills Point is I-20 east to Shreveport then north to Hot Springs, easily done in a long weekend with one overnight stop.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validityWhat should I budget for fuel on an RV trip around Wills Point?
Fuel is one of the easier budget items in East Texas thanks to consistently lower-than-average gas prices. Travel trailers add minimal cost since you're towing with your own vehicle, while a Class C motorhome typically gets 8 to 12 miles per gallon and a Class A around 7 to 9 MPG. With Texas pump prices often hovering around $2.80 to $3.20 per gallon, a 200-mile weekend loop in a Class C might run you $60 to $80 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up at the Buc-ee's in Terrell (just 15 minutes west on I-20) where prices are usually a few cents lower and the parking is RV-friendly.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book a campground near Wills Point?
For Texas state parks like Lake Tawakoni or Purtis Creek, book exactly 5 months ahead on the Texas Parks and Wildlife reservation site (reservations open at 8am Central). Private parks like Canton I-20 RV Park and Bluebonnet Ridge usually fill 2 to 4 weeks out, but Canton First Monday Trade Days weekends (the Thursday through Sunday before the first Monday of each month) can sell out 3 to 6 months in advance. For a relaxed midweek stay, 7 to 10 days is plenty. Pro tip: set a calendar reminder for the 5-month state park window. Spring break and Memorial Day spots vanish within minutes of opening.
tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/park-information/reservationsWhat are driving conditions like around Wills Point?
Driving around Wills Point is genuinely one of the easier intros to RV travel in Texas. The town sits on flat, gently rolling prairie with wide rural highways and an I-20 corridor that's straight and well-maintained. The biggest things to watch: sudden thunderstorms and hail in spring (pull off under a covered fuel canopy if a warning hits), strong crosswinds on open stretches of I-20, and occasional deer at dusk on FM roads. Skip downtown Dallas during rush hour with a tall RV; the LBJ/635 interchanges have low clearances and heavy traffic. Pro tip: take US-80 west instead of I-20 for a calmer, more scenic drive into the metroplex.
drivetexas.org/What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Wills Point?
You'll find well-equipped campgrounds in every direction. Most private parks around Wills Point (Canton I-20 RV Park, Bluebonnet Ridge, Patriot Escapes RV Resort) offer 30/50-amp electric, full water and sewer hookups, free Wi-Fi, laundry, and a pool. Lake Tawakoni State Park has 78 sites with water and electric plus a centralized dump station, hot showers, and a fish-cleaning station. Need to fill fresh water or dump tanks mid-trip? The dump station at Lake Tawakoni is open year-round to registered campers, and most private parks accept paid dumping for non-guests. Pro tip: arrive with at least a quarter tank of fresh water so you're set up for your first night.
tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/lake-tawakoni/fees-facilitiesWhat features come standard in a motorhome rental Wills Point hosts list?
You'll be pleasantly surprised at how loaded most rigs are. A typical motorhome rental Wills Point hosts offer includes a full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink), a wet bath with toilet and shower, a queen bed plus convertible sleeping for 4 to 6 total, roof-mounted AC, a furnace, a TV with antenna or streaming, and seatbelts for all designated passengers. Most include a generator for boondocking and many offer Wi-Fi hotspots. Campervan rental Wills Point options like Class B vans are great for couples with fold-out beds and compact kitchens. Pro tip: check the listing's amenities checklist and message the host if you need specifics like a CPAP-friendly outlet or a king bed.
nhtsa.gov/road-safety/recreational-vehicle-safetyWhat add-ons and pickup options should I know about for my Wills Point rental?
Customizing your rig is half the fun. Popular RVezy add-ons in the Wills Point area include linen and kitchen kits, generator use, camping chairs and outdoor mats, propane refill packages, and bike racks. Pickup is usually at the host's home off FM 47, US-80, or just outside town, with delivery available to Lake Tawakoni State Park and other local campgrounds for a flat fee. Mileage policies typically include 100 to 150 free miles per night with a per-mile rate for additional distance. Pro tip: bundle delivery, setup, and a linen package for a true zero-effort family RV trip Wills Point families love.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Wills%20Point%2C%20TexasHow does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is simple and secure: you pay through the RVezy platform with a credit or debit card, never directly to the host, so your booking is documented and protected from start to finish. A refundable security deposit is held separately from your booking payment (amounts vary by rig) and is released after your trip once the host confirms the RV was returned in good condition and within the agreed mileage and fuel terms. To avoid any deposit issues, take a quick walk-around video at pickup and dropoff, stay within your mileage allowance, and follow the host return checklist. Easy, transparent, and stress-free.
