They were amazing on communication and so nice they had many extra things on the rv that we ended up using. I had originally had my reservation as a pickup and later changed to delivery. It was a very easy transition.

Loved our experience with Sandy from start to finish. He communicated very well, including letting us know about the need to reserve a campsite ahead of time. The camper was very well stocked with kitchen items. The beds were soft and well prepared. They met us when we arrived to set up the RV and explain everything. The weather was very cold and so the water froze one morning. Sandy came right over within minutes and helped us get it going again. Very nice people and very honest. There were extra things we had ordered that we didn’t need so he offered to takeoff those charges. We would absolutely come back and use them again. We were a family with small children and they even agreed that it felt like home. Thank you for a great experience!

We had an awesome experience with this RV! It was super clean, spacious, and really comfortable for our trip. Jack was such a great host—easy to communicate with, super helpful, and even dropped it off the night before so we could hit the road early. Couldn’t have asked for a better setup. Would definitely rent again!

This RV was more than enough for 3 of us. The outside top burner and faucet made it ezr to cook and also wash off after spending all day in the water. The host was very friendly and had the RV ready to use within minutes of getting it delivered.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in Ivins, UT
How much does it cost to rent an RV in Ivins, UT?
RV rental in Ivins is often more affordable than hotels near Snow Canyon State Park. On RVezy, expect roughly $90 to $175 per night for travel trailers, $150 to $250 for Class C motorhomes, and $250 or more for Class A motorhomes, with prices varying by season, age of the RV, and amenities. To find a cheap RV rental in Ivins, book midweek in early March or late October when red rock weather is excellent but spring break crowds have cleared. Many hosts offer weekly discounts of 10 to 20 percent, so a seven-night Zion adventure can cost less than several separate nightly stays. Filter by your budget on RVezy and message hosts directly for custom quotes.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Ivins%2C%20UtahWhat license do I need to rent an RV in Ivins, Utah?
A standard driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in Ivins, UT, whether you choose a campervan or a 32-foot Class C motorhome. Utah does not require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or special endorsement for personal recreational vehicles under 26,000 pounds, which covers virtually every rig on RVezy. RVezy approved drivers are generally required to be at least 25 years old, and your ID is verified through the platform during booking, so the process is quick and paperless. Visiting from abroad? Bring your home country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP). That's it, you're ready to roll toward Snow Canyon.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039008774-Understanding-approved-driver-requirementsIs insurance and roadside assistance included with my Ivins RV rental?
Yes, and this is one of the best parts of booking on RVezy. Every RV rental in Ivins comes with a renter protection plan and 24/7 roadside assistance included, so you can focus on hiking the Petrified Dunes instead of worrying about logistics. Protection plans cover physical damage to the RV during your trip, with different coverage levels available so you can choose what fits your trip. You select your protection level during booking, giving you control over your coverage. If you get a flat tire on the way to Sand Hollow or need a tow off Old Highway 91, roadside help is one phone call away, day or night.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat if I need to cancel my Ivins RV trip?
Booking feels low-risk because RVezy, not the individual host, sets the cancellation policy for every rental in Ivins. That means consistent, fair terms across the platform, including a grace period after booking during which you can cancel for a full refund of the rental amount. Refund eligibility after that depends on how far out from your trip you cancel. If a host cancels your booking, RVezy will help you find a replacement RV or issue a refund or credit. Before you book, message the host with your dates to confirm availability and review the policy details linked in your reservation so you can hit reserve with confidence.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360037736674-Understanding-the-cancellation-policy-for-guestsCan I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in Ivins?
Absolutely, and your pup will love it here. A pet-friendly RV rental in Ivins is easy to find on RVezy: just toggle the Pet-Friendly filter to see rigs whose hosts welcome four-legged guests. Snow Canyon State Park allows leashed dogs on the paved Whiptail Trail and in the campground, and nearby Red Cliffs Desert Reserve has dog-friendly desert hikes on designated trails. The dog park at Ivins City's Unity Park is a great stretch-the-legs stop after your drive. Pro tip: bring booties for hot summer pavement and sandstone, plus plenty of water, as the desert dries paws and pets out quickly. Confirm any pet fees with your host before booking.
stateparks.utah.gov/parks/snow-canyon/Can the RV be delivered to my campground or rental house in Ivins?
Yes, RV delivery in Ivins is one of the most popular options on RVezy, especially for first-time renters. Many local hosts will drive the RV directly to Snow Canyon State Park Campground, your vacation rental driveway in Kayenta, or even a trailhead, then level it, hook up utilities, and walk you through every system. That means you skip the stress of towing or maneuvering a big rig through unfamiliar streets. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy to instantly see which Ivins hosts offer this service and their delivery range (most cover the greater St. George area, with some reaching Zion or Sand Hollow). Delivery fees vary by distance, so message the host for an exact quote.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Ivins%2C%20UtahHow far can I drive on my Ivins RV rental, and what are mileage policies?
You've got plenty of road ahead. Most Ivins hosts on RVezy include 100 to 150 free miles per night, with additional miles available at roughly $0.30 to $0.50 each, and some offer RV rental with unlimited mileage for longer road trips. That's typically enough for a Zion National Park run (about 45 miles east) plus daily exploring. Driving farther? Bryce Canyon is about 160 miles, Grand Canyon North Rim around 155 miles, Las Vegas roughly 120 miles, and Capitol Reef close to 215 miles. If you're planning a multi-park loop, filter for unlimited mileage listings or arrange a custom mileage package with your host before booking; many are flexible for week-long trips.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Ivins%2C%20UtahWhere are the best campgrounds near Ivins, UT?
Ivins is surrounded by some of southern Utah's best campgrounds. Snow Canyon State Park Campground sits just minutes from town with sites tucked between red sandstone cliffs and black lava flows, including pull-throughs with water and electric hookups. Sand Hollow State Park near Hurricane combines red rock scenery with a 1,300-acre reservoir and full hookup loops. Quail Creek State Park offers lakefront RV camping a short drive northeast. Red Cliffs Campground, about 20 minutes northeast, has shaded sites along Quail Creek at a budget-friendly rate. For full-service stays in town, private parks in Ivins and St. George provide 50-amp full hookups, pools, and laundry. Book Utah State Parks sites up to four months in advance; spring weekends fill within minutes.
stateparks.utah.gov/parks/snow-canyon/camping/When is the best time to take an RV trip from Ivins?
The sweet spot for an Ivins RV trip is mid-March through mid-May and again from late September through early November, when daytime highs sit in the comfortable 65 to 85 degree range and nights are cool but rarely freezing. July and August regularly push past 100 degrees, so summer RVers should plan early-morning hikes and rely on the rig's air conditioning during midday. Winter is mild with highs often in the 50s and lows around freezing, making December and January a peaceful, budget-friendly time for snowbirds and Zion off-season explorers. Bonus: the Ivins area enjoys abundant sunshine, so blue-sky days are common whenever you go.
weather.gov/slc/I've never rented an RV before. Will I know how to use everything?
Yes, first time renting an RV in Ivins is easier than people expect. Every RVezy host gives you a hands-on walkthrough at pickup, covering propane, water pump, generator, slide-outs, awning, tanks, and dump procedures, and they're available by text or call during your trip if questions come up. Many hosts even leave a printed cheat sheet in the rig. If you'd rather skip driving a big rig through unfamiliar territory, choose a host offering delivery so the RV is already set up when you arrive at Snow Canyon or Sand Hollow. Pro tip: take a short video of the walkthrough on your phone so you can rewind when it's time to dump tanks. You've got this.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/sections/360008884774-Going-on-a-tripWhat happens if the RV breaks down during my trip?
Don't sweat it. Every RV rental in Ivins, UT booked through RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance with the protection plan, so help is one call away whether you're parked at Snow Canyon, climbing the Diamond Valley grade, or heading toward Zion on State Route 9. The roadside team handles flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, fuel delivery, and towing to the nearest qualified repair shop. Your host is also a direct text away for quick questions like where the fuse box is located. Pro tip: save both the RVezy support number and your host's number in your phone before you leave the driveway, and you'll have backup covered from every angle.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/34008759079835-RVezy-renter-protection-plans-in-detailWhat are the best RV road trips from Ivins?
Ivins is a launchpad for some of the West's most jaw-dropping drives. The classic RV road trip from Ivins heads east about 45 miles to Zion National Park, then continues roughly 85 miles to Bryce Canyon, with Capitol Reef another 120 miles beyond that. Heading south, Grand Canyon North Rim is about 155 miles and Lake Powell roughly 160 miles via Page, Arizona. Vegas-bound travelers can reach the Strip in just under 2 hours (120 miles) for a totally different vibe. Cross-state-line trips into Arizona and Nevada are typically allowed, but international travel into Mexico is not permitted on RVezy rentals. Always confirm cross-border policies with your host before crossing into Canada.
visitutah.com/places-to-go/parks-outdoors/mighty-5What kind of fuel mileage and gas budget should I expect?
Plan smart and your fuel budget stays manageable. Class B campervans in Ivins average 18 to 22 miles per gallon, Class C motorhomes 8 to 12 mpg, Class A motorhomes 7 to 10 mpg, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle (usually 10 to 14 mpg combined). Utah regular gas typically runs around $3.20 to $3.80 per gallon, with stations in St. George and Hurricane offering competitive prices in the region. For a 500-mile loop covering Zion, Bryce, and back to Ivins in a Class C, budget roughly $175 to $225 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up in St. George before heading into Zion, where gas in Springdale runs noticeably higher.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/How far in advance should I book campgrounds near Ivins?
Earlier is better, especially for spring and fall. Utah State Parks, including Snow Canyon, Sand Hollow, and Quail Creek, open reservations up to four months in advance through the Utah State Parks reservation system, and weekend sites often disappear quickly after going live. For Red Cliffs and other federal sites managed by the BLM or Forest Service, check Recreation.gov, where booking windows typically open up to six months out. If you're a more spontaneous traveler, midweek sites at private parks in Ivins and St. George often have last-minute availability. Pro tip: set a reservation alert for cancellation drops; spots open up regularly two to three weeks before peak weekends.
stateparks.utah.gov/the-695-page/reservations/What are the driving conditions like around Ivins?
Driving here is genuinely enjoyable, with light traffic, well-paved roads, and stunning scenery in every direction. Ivins sits at roughly 3,100 feet elevation in the Mojave Desert transition zone, so most local roads are flat to gently rolling. The main routes to Snow Canyon, St. George, and Interstate 15 handle big rigs easily. Watch for summer afternoon thunderstorms during the July through September monsoon season, which can cause flash floods in washes, and spring wind advisories on I-15 between St. George and Las Vegas where gusts can exceed 40 mph. The drive into Zion via SR-9 climbs through switchbacks; oversized vehicles need a tunnel permit for the Zion to Mt. Carmel Tunnel. Check Utah Department of Transportation cameras before you roll.
udot.utah.gov/connect/public/travel-information/What amenities will I find at campgrounds near Ivins?
Campground amenities around Ivins range from full-resort to wonderfully rustic. Snow Canyon State Park offers sites with water and electric hookups, modern restrooms with showers, a dump station, and potable water fill, plus direct trail access. Private RV resorts in Ivins and St. George typically provide 50-amp full hookups, heated pools, laundry, and Wi-Fi. For dumping and water fills between trips, Snow Canyon's dump station is open to non-campers for a small fee. Pro tip: top off freshwater before heading to Zion, where in-park fill stations get crowded during peak season.
stateparks.utah.gov/parks/snow-canyon/camping/What's typically included inside an Ivins RV rental?
You'll be impressed by how turnkey RVezy rigs in Ivins are. Most motorhome rentals in Ivins come fully stocked with a queen or king bed, sofa or dinette that converts to extra sleeping, full kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, sink, cookware, plates, utensils), wet or dry bathroom with shower and toilet, roof air conditioning, propane furnace, and a generator or solar setup for off-grid power. Many include a flat-screen TV, Bluetooth stereo, and outdoor awning with patio chairs. Cell signal is hit-or-miss in Snow Canyon's red rock canyons, but major carriers work well in town. Every passenger needs a seatbelt, so confirm sleep-versus-seatbelt count with your host. Add-ons like linens, camp chairs, and bikes are often available too.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Ivins%2C%20UtahWhat add-ons and pickup options are available with Ivins RV rentals?
Hosts in Ivins offer a great menu of extras to customize your trip. Popular add-ons include linen and towel packages, kitchen kits, generator use (often charged per hour or as a daily fee), propane refills, portable grills, e-bikes, kayaks for Sand Hollow, and pet cleaning fees. Pickup is usually at the host's home in Ivins or nearby St. George, with delivery available across Washington County. Standard rentals typically have check-in between 1 and 3 PM and check-out by 11 AM, though many hosts flex for early or late pickup. Mileage and generator policies are listed clearly on each RVezy listing, so you'll see exactly what's included before booking. Message your host to bundle add-ons for a custom quote.
rvezy.com/rv-search?SearchAddress=Ivins%2C%20UtahHow do payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?
Payment is simple and secure. When you book your RV rental in Ivins through RVezy, you pay the platform directly using a credit or debit card, never the host in cash. Your reservation total typically includes the nightly rate, cleaning fee, protection plan, and any host add-ons, all visible before you confirm. Hosts also place a refundable security deposit hold on your card before pickup, which is released after the trip once the RV is returned in good condition. The security deposit is separate from the booking payment. To avoid issues, complete the pickup and drop-off inspection with your host, respect mileage and generator limits, and dump tanks before return (or pay the dump fee).
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-worksCan I rent an RV in Ivins during summer when it's over 100 degrees?
Yes, summer RV camping in Ivins is doable with a little planning, and many travelers love the long daylight hours and dramatic monsoon sunsets. July and August highs commonly reach 100 to 104 degrees, so look for rentals with strong roof air conditioning (15,000 BTU is ideal) and book campgrounds with 30 or 50-amp electric hookups so you can run AC nonstop. Plan hikes for sunrise (roughly 6 to 9 AM) when Snow Canyon's red rock is cool and glowing, then retreat to the rig or pool during the 1 to 5 PM heat. Local insider tip: Gunlock Falls flows seasonally after spring rains and is a hidden swimming gem just a short drive from Ivins.
