Nice clean little camper for 4. Nicely appointed but Bring a rug or mat for in front of camper & inside door. Longer water hose & electrical cord would be helpful. We were glad to have the generator for back up because the elec. cord was not always long enough. Know what you need and ask. Paul added a drip coffee machine & toaster for us. Bedding & towels were clean & nice. Beds were comfortable. A/C worked well

We rented this RV for a weekend getaway and had a fantastic experience. The RV was clean, well-stocked, and spacious! The owner gave us a quick instruction sheet so we felt comfortable using all the hookups and appliances. Everything worked as expected — fridge stayed cold, A/C kept us comfortable, and the beds were surprisingly cozy. Pick-up and drop-off were smooth, and the host was responsive to questions. It made our trip so much easier compared to tent camping. Highly recommend for a fun weekend adventure!”

Josh was great, super friendly and the trailer was clean and well organized with tons of stuff he and his family added to make the trip even better. He provided plenty of chairs and an outdoor carpet, also a play pen for the dogs, everything needed in the kitchen plus games for more fun. 10/10 would recommend renting from him. There was the smallest mishap at the beginning of the trip and his went literally out of his way to fix it, overall it was the perfect experience. Thank you Josh!

Good news: a regular driver's license is all you need to rent an RV in White Salmon. No commercial driver's license (CDL) or RV endorsement is required in Washington State for standard RVs available on RVezy. Approved drivers are generally 25 or older and must upload a valid driver's license during the RVezy booking process for verification. Visiting from outside the U.S.? What is the cancellation policy if my White Salmon RV trip plans change?

Booking an RV rental in White Salmon is lower risk than you might expect. RVezy sets a standard cancellation policy across the platform, not individual hosts, and there is a short grace period after booking where you can cancel for a full refund. After that, refund eligibility depends on how far in advance you cancel relative to your trip start date. If extraordinary events like Gorge wildfires or winter storms disrupt travel, RVezy support can help review your options. Book early to secure your preferred rig and review the full cancellation details on the RVezy Help Center before you confirm.

Can I bring my dog on an RV rental in White Salmon?

Absolutely, plenty of hosts welcome four-legged co-pilots. Filter for a pet-friendly RV rental White Salmon listing on RVezy and you'll see rigs that allow dogs, sometimes with a small cleaning fee set by the host. White Salmon is genuinely dog-friendly: Pioneer Park Cemetery doubles as an unofficial off-leash spot with a bin of tennis balls on the fence, and trails like Catherine Creek and the Klickitat Rail Trail are great for leashed pups. Just remember dogs must stay on a leash inside Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area trailheads and Washington State Parks. Message the host before booking to confirm pet rules and breed considerations.

Can the RV be delivered to my campground or rental home in White Salmon?

Yes, RV delivery in White Salmon is one of the most popular options, especially for first-time renters who would rather skip towing across the Hood River Bridge. Many RVezy hosts will drop the RV at your chosen campground, vacation rental, or driveway in White Salmon, Bingen, or Underwood, then walk you through setup, hookups, slide-outs, awning use, and dump procedures. Delivery fees are typically based on mileage from the host's location, and some hosts include full setup for stationary stays. Use the Delivery filter on RVezy to see listings that offer this and create a turnkey Columbia Gorge basecamp.

When is the best time of year for RV camping in White Salmon?

White Salmon is genuinely a four-season destination, but late April through mid-October is the sweet spot for RV camping White Salmon trips. May brings the famous Wildflower Festival and Dog Mountain's iconic balsamroot blooms, with daytime highs around 65 to 75°F. July and August are peak windsurfing and rafting season with warm 80 to 90°F days and cool 50°F nights, perfect for sleeping in an RV. September and early October offer crisp weather, fewer crowds, and salmon runs on the Klickitat. Winter is quieter, but doable with a four-season rig, plus you're 45 minutes from Mt. Hood skiing.

I'm a first-time renter. Will I actually be able to figure out how to drive and use the RV?

Yes, and you'll be amazed how quickly it clicks. Every RVezy host provides a hands-on orientation at pickup (or at delivery), walking you through driving, propane, water, the generator, slide-outs, and the dump process. They'll answer every question and most are happy to follow up by text during your trip. For first time renting an RV in White Salmon, a Class C motorhome or a smaller travel trailer is the easiest to handle on Highway 14's curves and the narrow Hood River Bridge. Pro tip: plan a short shakedown drive to nearby Northwestern Park before tackling longer Gorge routes.

What happens if I break down or have an issue on the road near White Salmon?

You are never on your own. Every RVezy booking includes 24/7 roadside assistance through the renter protection plan, so a flat tire on Highway 14, a dead battery at Trout Lake, or a mechanical issue on the way to Mount Adams is one phone call away from help. Your host is also a direct lifeline by text or phone for quirks specific to their rig. For anything more serious, RVezy customer support is reachable before, during, and after every trip. Save both numbers in your phone before you leave White Salmon and you will feel confident on every back road.

What are the best RV road trips from White Salmon?

An RV road trip from White Salmon basically writes itself thanks to its position on Highway 14 in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. Popular loops include: the Mount Hood Scenic Loop (about 105 miles, hits Hood River, Parkdale, and Government Camp), the Mount St. Helens run (90 miles to Johnston Ridge Observatory), Mount Adams and Trout Lake huckleberry country (35 miles north), the full Gorge drive west to Portland and Multnomah Falls (65 miles), and east to Maryhill Stonehenge and Goldendale Observatory (about 45 miles). Cross-border travel between Washington and Oregon is totally fine on RVezy rentals, just confirm with your host. Travel into Mexico is not permitted.

What kind of fuel mileage should I expect, and what does gas cost around White Salmon?

Budget smart and you'll have plenty left over for Everybody's Brewing. Class C motorhomes typically get 8 to 12 MPG, Class A's 6 to 10 MPG, campervans 15 to 20 MPG, and a tow vehicle with a travel trailer about 10 to 14 MPG. Washington gas prices tend to run higher than the national average, often $4.20 to $4.80 per gallon in the Gorge area, so it's usually cheaper to fill up across the bridge in Hood River, Oregon (where attendants pump for you). The nearest stations in White Salmon are on E. Jewett Boulevard. Top off before heading toward Mount Adams, services thin out fast past Trout Lake.

How far in advance should I book a campground near White Salmon?

Earlier is better, especially for summer. Washington State Parks like Beacon Rock and Columbia Hills open reservations 9 months in advance through the Washington State Parks reservation system, and the best riverside sites for July and August get scooped up within days. For Oregon-side options like Memaloose State Park, book through Oregon State Parks up to 6 months out. Private parks like Gorge Base Camp RV Park typically book 2 to 4 months ahead for peak season. Pro tip: midweek arrivals (Sunday through Wednesday) are far easier to snag, and shoulder-season trips in late April or late September often have walk-up availability.

What are the local driving conditions like in and around White Salmon?

With a little awareness, driving an RV around White Salmon is very manageable. Highway 14 is a winding, two-lane scenic road with some tunnels and tight shoulders, so plan for slower speeds and use the frequent pullouts to enjoy the views. The Hood River Bridge to Oregon is narrow with a posted weight limit and a toll each way, so fold in your mirrors and take it slow; confirm the current toll and any vehicle restrictions with the Port of Hood River before crossing. Summer Gorge winds through Bingen and the Hatchery can push high-profile RVs around, and winter occasionally brings snow and ice toward Mt. Adams, so check WSDOT cameras before you roll.

What hookups and amenities can I expect at campgrounds near White Salmon?

Most established RV parks near White Salmon offer the works. Gorge Base Camp RV Park has full hookups (water, 30/50 amp electric, sewer), free Wi-Fi, hot showers, and laundry. Beacon Rock State Park provides utility sites with water and electric, plus a dump station. Columbia Hills offers full hookup sites and a dump station as well. For dump and fresh water on the go, Memaloose State Park (across the river in Oregon) and Columbia Hills both have public dump stations. Most U.S. Forest Service campgrounds in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest are dry (no hookups), so fill your fresh tank and empty your gray and black tanks before heading up toward Trout Lake.

What is actually inside the RVs I will find on RVezy in White Salmon?

More than you might guess. RVs available to rent in White Salmon range from compact Class B campervans with a bed, mini kitchen, and wet bath, up to fully loaded Class A motorhomes with king beds, full kitchens, residential fridges, dual TVs, and onboard generators. Most Class C motorhome rentals in White Salmon sleep 4 to 7 with a queen bed, an over-cab bunk, and a convertible dinette. Travel trailers and fifth wheels often include outdoor kitchens, perfect for Gorge sunsets. Expect a fridge and freezer, propane stove, microwave, furnace, AC, and seatbelts for every traveling passenger. Check each listing for Wi-Fi, generator hours, and solar details.

What add-ons, pickup options, and extras should I look for on a White Salmon RV listing?

This is where you can really customize your trip. Common RVezy add-ons in White Salmon include camp chairs and tables, bedding and linen packages, kitchen kits, bike racks (huge in the Gorge), kayak/SUP roof straps, propane fill, generator hours, portable BBQs, and pet packages. Many hosts offer delivery to local campgrounds, late pickup or drop-off windows, and even one-way arrangements between Portland and White Salmon, message the host directly through the listing to ask. Mileage policies vary by host, with some offering unlimited mileage for an upgrade fee. Use RVezy filters like Pet-Friendly, Delivery, Instant Book, and Festival-Friendly to zero in on the perfect rig.

How do payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and handled entirely on the RVezy platform: no cash or e-transfer to the host. You pay through your RVezy account at booking using a credit or debit card, and a separate security deposit is placed on hold (not charged) before your trip starts to cover potential incidentals like excess mileage, late returns, or minor damage not covered by the protection plan. As long as you return the RV on time, clean, and with tanks emptied per the host's instructions, the hold is released after your trip. Pro tip: take dated photos and a short video walkaround at pickup and drop-off to keep deposit issues rare.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038106214-How-the-security-deposit-works

How do I handle the famous Gorge wind and summer heat in my RV?

Easy once you know the rhythm. Summer afternoons in the Columbia River Gorge near White Salmon can hit 90 to 100°F in July and August, while the wind howls through Bingen and the Hatchery, that's exactly why kiteboarders flock here. Park your RV nose-into the wind to reduce side-load on slide-outs and awnings, and always retract your awning before leaving the site or overnight. Run the AC on shore power at hookup sites; for dry camping, plan drives or hikes during peak heat and use reflective windshield covers. Mornings are calm and gorgeous, perfect for coffee at White Salmon Baking Co. before heading to Coyote Wall or the river.
