"Story" was a great RV and Joshua was an amazing host. This was our first time traveling in an RV and Joshua was very patient in answering all of our questions. He provided a very thorough orientation. The RV was fully equipped with everything we needed including kitchen/bath items, camping chairs, linens, etc. Everything was clean, well maintained, and exactly as described. We were able to boondock without any issues. Communication with Joshua was amazing and I highly recommend this rental.

I've never rented an RV before. Will I be okay?

You've got this, first time renting an RV is RVezy's specialty. Every Newell host gives you a hands on orientation at pickup or delivery: how the slides work, dumping tanks, filling fresh water, running the generator, and operating the awning. You can message your host through the RVezy app before, during, and after your trip with any question, and 24/7 roadside assistance is included with every booking. Many Newell renters choose a Class C motorhome or smaller travel trailer for their first trip because they drive much like a large van or pickup. Pro tip: do a short shakedown night at Tomlinson Run State Park before any longer trip, you'll learn the rig in a relaxed setting just minutes from town.

How much should I budget for fuel on a Newell RV trip?

Fuel is usually the second biggest line item after the rental itself, but it's easy to plan for. Class B campervans average 18 to 22 MPG, Class C motorhomes 8 to 12 MPG, Class A rigs 6 to 10 MPG, and travel trailers depend on your tow vehicle. Gas prices in the Newell and Hancock County area typically run a few cents below the national average thanks to neighboring Ohio's competitive market. For a 4 day, 400 mile loop in a Class C, budget roughly $150 to $200 in fuel. Pro tip: fill up across the river in East Liverpool, OH where prices are often a touch lower than at the WV stations.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and transparent. You pay through RVezy's secure platform with a credit card, never directly to the host, and you'll see a clear breakdown of the nightly rate, add ons, taxes, and protection plan before you confirm. A refundable security deposit is held separately from the booking payment (amount varies by RV, often several hundred to a couple thousand dollars) and released after the trip if there are no damages or extra charges, like exceeding the mileage allowance. To protect yourself, take time stamped photos of the RV at pickup and dropoff, follow the host's fuel and tank dumping instructions, and keep receipts. Pro tip: do the walkthrough video with your host at pickup in Newell, it protects everyone and makes deposit returns smooth.

Can I rent an RV in Newell during winter?

Yes, winter RV rental in Newell is possible, though selection is smaller because Tomlinson Run State Park's campground closes after fall. Newell winters are cold (average lows around 21°F with snowy stretches from late November through early March), so look for RVs listed as four season or winterized with heated holding tanks, an enclosed underbelly, and a reliable propane furnace. Many hosts park larger rigs for the season but keep insulated Class Cs and truck campers available. Pair your rental with a host who allows full shore power hookups at a year round private park in the tri state area. Pro tip: frame your winter Newell RV trip around a Pittsburgh sports weekend or a snowy Ohio River sunrise, you'll have campgrounds nearly to yourself.
