Can't say enough good things about Scott. When you rent from someone else, you want to feel confident that you're getting what you asked for and will have help/support if needed. Its not just that Scott was good when things were good, its how awesome he was whenever there was an issue or question that really sets him above all others in our book. Not only did he jump in to help us when our original host cancelled last minute, but when we had an early issue he immediately took action to help and personally came to check and make sure it was resolved properly. Amazing, caring host and we would definitely book with him again for future RV needs.

Frequently asked questions about renting an RV in New Berlin, WI

How much does it cost to rent an RV in New Berlin, WI?

RV rental in New Berlin is one of the most affordable ways to explore Wisconsin's lakes, forests, and Milwaukee-area attractions. Expect roughly $90 to $175 per night for a travel trailer, $125 to $225 for a Class C motorhome, and $200 to $350 for a larger Class A. Shoulder-season trips in May or September often run 20 to 30 percent cheaper than peak July and August weekends around Summerfest and the Wisconsin State Fair. For a cheap RV rental in New Berlin, filter by travel trailers, book midweek, and look for hosts offering free local delivery to save on tow-vehicle costs. Pro tip: hosts often discount weekly bookings, so a 7-night Kettle Moraine trip can deliver real value.

Do I need a special license to rent an RV in New Berlin, Wisconsin?

Good news: a standard Wisconsin driver's license (or any valid US/Canadian license) is all you need to rent an RV in New Berlin. No Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and no RV endorsement are required for any motorhome or travel trailer you'll find on RVezy, including big Class A coaches. You'll need to be 25 or older, and RVezy verifies your ID quickly through the platform when you book. Visiting from overseas? Bring your home-country license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) and you're ready to roll. Most first-time renters are pleasantly surprised at how straightforward the paperwork is, leaving more time to plan your Kettle Moraine getaway.

What protection and roadside coverage is included when I rent an RV in New Berlin?

Every RV rental in New Berlin booked through RVezy includes a renter protection plan plus 24/7 roadside assistance, so you are covered from the moment you pick up the keys. The protection plan helps cover damage to the vehicle, giving you real peace of mind whether you are driving I-94 toward Madison or parking at Wisconsin State Fair RV Park. During checkout you choose the protection level that fits your comfort and budget, not the host. If a tire blows on Highway 41 or the battery dies at a trailhead, one phone call dispatches help any hour, day or night. That safety net is a huge reason first-time renters feel confident hitting the road in New Berlin.

What is the cancellation policy if my New Berlin RV trip plans change?

Booking is low-risk: RVezy sets a clear cancellation policy on every reservation, including a money-back grace period right after you book so you can lock in your New Berlin RV rental with confidence. Refund amounts after that grace period depend on how far out from your trip you cancel. Hosts do not set these rules, RVezy does, which keeps the process consistent and fair across every booking. If your plans shift or severe Wisconsin weather affects your trip, contact RVezy support and they will walk you through your options. That flexibility makes it easy to book early and secure the best rigs before summer demand spikes.

Can I bring my dog on a pet-friendly RV rental in New Berlin?

Yes, a pet-friendly RV rental in New Berlin is easy to find on RVezy: toggle the Pet-Friendly filter and you will see plenty of rigs whose owners welcome four-legged co-pilots. Many hosts simply ask that pets are well-behaved and that you clean up before drop-off, sometimes with a small pet fee. Wisconsin is wonderfully dog-friendly too, with leashed pets allowed on most trails at the Lapham Peak Unit of Kettle Moraine State Forest (about 15 minutes from New Berlin) and at the New Berlin Bark Park. State park campgrounds permit pets in designated pet-friendly loops. Pro tip: pack a collapsible water bowl, your pup will thank you on humid July hikes.

Can the RV be delivered to me in New Berlin or to a nearby campground?

Yes, RV delivery in New Berlin is one of the most popular options for first-timers and families who would rather skip driving a big rig through traffic. Many hosts on RVezy will deliver, level, and fully set up your motorhome or travel trailer at your driveway in New Berlin or directly at campgrounds like Country View Campground in Mukwonago, Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in West Allis, or Ottawa Lake within the Kettle Moraine State Forest Southern Unit. Filter by Delivery on the search page and message the host with your destination address to confirm fees, which typically scale with distance. Pro tip: book a delivered rental at Ottawa Lake and your entire weekend becomes hookup-camping with zero driving stress.

How far can I drive on a New Berlin RV trip, and how do mileage policies work?

Plenty far: most RVezy hosts in New Berlin offer between 100 and 250 free miles per night, with additional miles available at a low per-mile rate, and some list RV rentals with unlimited mileage if you're planning a longer loop. From New Berlin, that easily covers a weekend at Devil's Lake State Park (about 100 miles northwest), Door County's Peninsula State Park (180 miles north), Chicago (90 miles south), the Wisconsin Dells (115 miles), or Lake Geneva (50 miles). Each listing shows the daily mileage allowance up front so there are no surprises. Pro tip: if you're planning an RV road trip from New Berlin to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, filter for unlimited-mileage rigs to keep your budget tidy.

Where are the best campgrounds near New Berlin for an RV trip?

You are spoiled for choice. Some of the best campgrounds near New Berlin include Country View Campground in Mukwonago (about 15 miles southwest, full hookups and a pool), Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in West Allis (about 10 miles east, full hookups within walking distance of American Family Field), Ottawa Lake Campground in Kettle Moraine State Forest Southern Unit (about 25 miles west, electric sites and a swim beach), Pike Lake Unit Campground near Hartford (about 35 miles north), and Big Foot Beach State Park on Lake Geneva (about 50 miles south). Reserve Wisconsin DNR sites at wisconsin.goingtocamp.com up to 11 months in advance, and book private parks directly. Pro tip: weekends near Summerfest and the State Fair sell out fast, so lock in dates early.

When is the best time of year for RV camping in New Berlin?

Late May through early October is the sweet spot for RV camping in New Berlin, with warm days, green forests, and every campground fully open. June through August averages highs of 78 to 84 degrees with comfortable 60-degree nights, perfect for grilling outside the rig. September is arguably the locals' favorite: cool 70-degree afternoons, fewer mosquitoes, and the first hints of color in the Kettle Moraine. October brings spectacular fall foliage along the Ice Age Trail, though pack warm layers as nights dip into the 40s. Winter rentals do exist for ice-fishing trips and Milwaukee Bucks games, but most leisure RVers aim for May to October. Pro tip: hit the Wisconsin State Fair in early August and base out of the on-site RV park.

I have never rented an RV before. Will I actually know how to use everything?

Yes, and you will feel like a pro by the end of your walkthrough. First time renting an RV in New Berlin is genuinely beginner-friendly because every RVezy host gives a hands-on orientation at pickup, showing you how to run the propane stove, level the rig, hook up to shore power, dump the tanks, and operate the awning. Many hosts also leave printed cheat sheets or short video links inside the RV. You can message your host directly through the app any time during your trip with quick questions. Class B campervans and small Class C motorhomes are the easiest starter rigs. Pro tip: pick up in the morning so you have plenty of daylight to settle in at camp.

What happens if I break down or have a problem on the road?

You are never stranded. Every RV rental in New Berlin booked through RVezy includes 24/7 roadside assistance as part of the protection plan, covering flat tires, dead batteries, lockouts, towing, and mechanical issues whether you are parked at Ottawa Lake or cruising I-43 toward Sheboygan. One phone number gets a technician dispatched any hour, day or night. You can also message your host directly through the RVezy app for quick how-to questions, like resetting the GFCI or relighting the water heater. RVezy customer support is available before, during, and after your trip. Pro tip: snap a photo of the RV's VIN, plate, and tire size at pickup so you have it ready if you ever need to call for help.

Can I take my New Berlin RV rental into Illinois, Michigan, or across the Canadian border?

Interstate trips are welcomed. From New Berlin, popular RV road trips include Chicago and Starved Rock (about 90 to 110 miles south), Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Pictured Rocks (around 300 miles north), the Mississippi River bluffs near La Crosse (about 200 miles west), and Indiana Dunes National Park (about 140 miles southeast). Cross-border travel into Canada depends on the individual host and insurance, so message them directly from the listing before booking to confirm and arrange paperwork. Travel into Mexico is not allowed on any RVezy rental because insurance coverage does not extend there. Pro tip: a 7-day loop from New Berlin through Door County and back makes a perfect first big trip.
help.rvezy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039340074-Insurance-coverage-validity

What should I budget for fuel on a Wisconsin RV trip?

Plan smart and fuel is very manageable. Travel trailers don't burn extra gas themselves (your tow vehicle does), Class B campervans return 18 to 22 mpg, Class C motorhomes average 8 to 12 mpg, and Class A diesel pushers run 7 to 10 mpg. Wisconsin gas prices typically hover near the national average, often 10 to 30 cents below Illinois prices, so locals fill up before crossing south on I-94. For a 300-mile weekend loop from New Berlin to Devil's Lake and back in a Class C, budget roughly $90 to $120 in fuel. Pro tip: the Kwik Trip chain along your route consistently offers some of the cheapest gas and clean restrooms, a Wisconsin road-trip staple.
eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

How far in advance should I book a campground for my New Berlin RV trip?

For Wisconsin state parks like Kettle Moraine, Devil's Lake, and Peninsula, reserve as early as you can: the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) opens reservations 11 months ahead through their official system at dnr.wisconsin.gov, and prime summer weekends often fill within days of opening. Private campgrounds like Country View or Jellystone Park typically book 2 to 4 months out for peak July and August dates. Midweek nights and September often have same-week availability. Nonresidents pay a $15 per night surcharge plus the standard site fee at DNR campgrounds, and you'll need a vehicle admission pass. Pro tip: use the DNR site's map view to find sites that fit your RV's exact length so you don't end up squeezing a 32-footer into a 25-foot pad.
dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/parks/camping/faq

What are local driving conditions like around New Berlin?

Driving an RV around New Berlin is refreshingly easy compared to bigger metros. The city sits on flat-to-rolling terrain with wide suburban roads, and I-43 and I-894 give quick access to Milwaukee, Madison, and Chicago without steep grades. Avoid downtown Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward and Brady Street area in a tall rig, low railroad bridges and tight parking make those better day-trip targets via car. Winter (December to March) brings snow and ice; if you're traveling then, ask your host about snow tires and travel only when roads are clear. Summer thunderstorms can pop up fast across southeast Wisconsin, so check the National Weather Service Milwaukee forecast each morning. Pro tip: leave Friday afternoon traffic to others by departing before 2 p.m. or after 7 p.m.

Where can I dump tanks and fill fresh water near New Berlin?

You've got plenty of options. Wisconsin State Fair RV Park in West Allis (about 10 minutes from New Berlin) offers a public dump station and potable water fill for a small fee. Country View Campground in Mukwonago, Jellystone Park in Caledonia, and Ottawa Lake Campground in Kettle Moraine State Forest all have dump stations available to registered guests. Most full-hookup sites at private parks let you dump and refill right at your site, no separate stop needed. Many Wisconsin highway rest areas along I-94 also have RV-accessible dump stations seasonally. Pro tip: top off fresh water before leaving your campground rather than at a busy dump station, it keeps the line moving and your travel day smoother.
dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/parks/camping

What features and amenities come with a typical RV rental in New Berlin?

More than you'd expect. A typical motorhome rental in New Berlin comes equipped with a queen or king bed, convertible dinette and sofa beds (most rigs sleep 4 to 8), a full kitchen with refrigerator, propane stove, microwave, and sink, a bathroom with toilet and shower, roof air conditioning, propane furnace, and seatbelted travel seats. Many also include a flat-screen TV, Bluetooth stereo, outdoor awning, and outdoor speakers for tailgating before Brewers games. Wi-Fi and generators are common add-ons, while solar panels appear on newer rigs. Each RVezy listing shows exactly what's included with photos and an amenities checklist. Pro tip: filter for rigs with a built-in generator if you're heading to non-electric state park sites like parts of Kohler-Andrae.
energy.gov/energysaver/recreational-vehicles

What add-ons can I get with my New Berlin RV rental?

Lots of fun extras to make your trip smoother. Common add-ons from New Berlin hosts include kitchen and linen kits ($30 to $75), camp chairs and outdoor tables ($15 to $40), bike racks, kayaks and SUPs ($25 to $60 per day), generators ($20 to $40 per day), Wi-Fi hotspots, propane fire pits, and grills. Many hosts also offer delivery and setup, dump and refill service at return, and pet packages with bowls and beds. You'll see all available add-ons and fees listed clearly on each RVezy listing page, and pickup/dropoff times are typically late-morning so the host has time to clean between guests. Pro tip: book the host's bike rack if you're heading to the New Berlin Trail or the Hank Aaron State Trail in Milwaukee.

How does payment and the security deposit work on RVezy?

Payment is simple and secure. When you book an RV rental in New Berlin, RVezy charges your credit or debit card through the platform, never directly to the host, so your payment information stays protected. Hosts also place a refundable security deposit hold, typically $500 to $1,500 depending on the rig, which is separate from your booking payment. As long as you return the RV in the same condition (clean, fueled, tanks emptied per the host's instructions), that hold is released after your trip. Document the rig with photos at pickup and drop-off to avoid any disputes. Pro tip: keep receipts for fuel and dump fees and you will sail through the return process.
