Campgrounds and RV parks near Bayview, CA

Bayview is a small census-designated place in Contra Costa County along the south shore of San Pablo Bay, bordered by Montalvin Manor to the southwest and Pinole to the east. The location sits just off Interstate 80 in the East Bay, putting RV travelers within easy reach of the Carquinez Strait, the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge into Marin County, and the broader San Francisco Bay Area. The closest RV options along the I-80 corridor north of Bayview include Tradewinds RV Park and Vallejo RV Park, both offering hookup sites convenient for travelers staging trips toward Napa, Sacramento, or Lake Tahoe. Across the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge in Marin County, Marin Park and Marin RV Park provide full-hookup stays near Highway 101. For a state-park experience, Benicia State Recreation Area sits about fifteen minutes northeast across the Carquinez Strait and offers limited overnight stays for self-contained RVs. Sites in this part of the East Bay tend to be paved, level, and close to grocery, fuel, and dump facilities.

Private RV parks in the area, including Tradewinds RV Park, Vallejo RV Park, Marin Park, and Marin RV Park, generally take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Summer weekends, holiday periods, and large Bay Area events fill these parks weeks in advance, so booking early is recommended for any Friday or Saturday arrival. At Benicia State Recreation Area, three Enroute campsites are available for an overnight stay on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations possible, and the camping is limited to motorhomes or vehicles with trailers that are fully self-contained. California State Parks campgrounds elsewhere in the region use ReserveCalifornia, which opens bookings six months in advance from the current date on a rolling daily window.
