Campgrounds and RV parks near Beattystown, NJ

Beattystown sits in northwestern New Jersey along the Musconetcong River in Warren County, putting RV renters within a short drive of several state-managed campgrounds in the highlands region. The area combines wooded ridges, trout streams, and reservoir lakes, and it functions as a practical base for trips into the Delaware Water Gap, the Kittatinny Ridge, and rural Hunterdon County. Stephens State Park, part of Allamuchy Mountain State Park along the Musconetcong River near Hackettstown, is the closest developed public campground and accommodates both tent campers and small trailers, though the road layout and individual sites can be tight for larger rigs. Jenny Jump State Forest sits atop a mountain ridge in northwestern New Jersey with views across the surrounding valleys. Voorhees State Park adds another public option in the Hunterdon hills, while Goodland Country Club and Spa and Fla-Net Park round out the private and municipal choices near Beattystown.

New Jersey state park campgrounds use a single centralized reservation system. Online reservations can be made at camping.nj.gov. That portal handles Stephens State Park, Jenny Jump State Forest, and Voorhees State Park, including tent sites, trailer-capable sites, group areas, and shelters. There is a two-night minimum and a fourteen-night maximum for stays at the Stephens campground. All overnight facilities must be reserved and occupied by at least one adult 18 years of age or older. For peak summer weekends and holidays, book well ahead; shelters and prime riverside or ridge-top sites go first. Private options such as Goodland Country Club and Spa and Fla-Net Park use their own booking channels and can serve as backups when state sites are full.
