Campgrounds and RV parks near Aldan, PA

Aldan is a small borough in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, located about 8 miles west of Center City Philadelphia. The borough covers a total area of 0.6 square miles, all land, so there are no campgrounds inside Aldan itself. RV travelers instead base themselves at private parks in the surrounding Philadelphia and South Jersey suburbs and use the borough as a jumping-off point for city sightseeing. The closest full-service option is Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday, just across the Delaware River in Clarksboro, New Jersey. Additional South Jersey choices within roughly an hour of Aldan include Lake Kandle in Sewell, Four Seasons Campgrounds in Pilesgrove, Old Cedar Campground in Monroeville, and Village Scene Park. All are privately operated, so bookings go through the campground rather than a state or federal reservation system. Expect a densely developed suburban setting with easy SEPTA and interstate access into Philadelphia, Camden, and the wider region.

None of the campgrounds near Aldan are on Recreation.gov or a state park reservation portal. Every option listed here is a private park, so reservations go directly through the operator by phone or website. Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday takes bookings through the KOA site and app, with KOA Rewards members often booking peak summer weekends several months out. Lake Kandle, which is mostly seasonal reservations, if not completely seasonal, handles inquiries by phone and email. Four Seasons Campgrounds, Old Cedar Campground, and Village Scene Park also accept reservations directly. For holiday weekends and July or August stays, contact the campground as early as possible; for shoulder-season trips, a few weeks of lead time is usually enough.
