Chester Heights is a small Delaware County borough in the Brandywine Valley, roughly 20 miles southwest of downtown Philadelphia. The area sits within easy reach of Ridley Creek State Park, Brandywine Battlefield, Longwood Gardens, and Tyler Arboretum, making it a practical base for RV travellers who want suburban services alongside historic and outdoor attractions. Overnight RV options cluster in three directions. To the north and west, Philadelphia / West Chester KOA Holiday sits along the Brandywine River in a rural setting near many attractions, and Brandywine Creek Campground in Lyndell offers full-hookup RV sites on the banks of the East Brandywine Creek from April through early November. Across the Delaware River in New Jersey, Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday offers a country campground experience about 20 minutes from downtown Philly. Closer in, Camp Country Center is a Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay property in Hockessin, Delaware, a smaller site with moderate hiking trails bordering the Delaware Nature Society. Farther afield, Four Seasons Campgrounds in Scotrun offers a Poconos option for travellers willing to drive north for a full-service park in the mountains.

KOA properties use the KOA reservation system online or by phone, with the two nearest options being Philadelphia / West Chester KOA Holiday and Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday across the river in New Jersey. Both accept advance bookings and reward-program stays. Brandywine Creek Campground and Four Seasons Campgrounds in Scotrun handle reservations directly through their own sites or by phone. For Pennsylvania state park camping, reservations run through the state's ReserveAmerica portal. Bookings must be made at least three days ahead of arrival and can be placed up to eleven months in advance. Ridley Creek State Park has no family sites, only organized group tenting for qualified youth or adult groups such as schools, scouts, or nonprofits, and interested groups should contact the park to confirm eligibility. Book summer weekends and holiday dates as early as possible. Weeknight and shoulder-season availability is generally easier to secure.
