Campgrounds and RV parks near Chesterbrook, PA

Chesterbrook sits in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, inside the Philadelphia metropolitan area. The community lies just south of Valley Forge National Historical Park, with walking paths connecting the two. That location puts RV travelers within easy reach of Revolutionary War history, the Brandywine Valley, and central Philadelphia, without the congestion of the city itself. Overnight camping is not available inside Valley Forge National Historical Park, so RV travelers typically base out of private parks in Chester and Montgomery counties or drive west to Marsh Creek and French Creek state parks. Lodging options are concentrated in the communities surrounding the park rather than within it. Close-in options range from small suburban RV parks like Village Scene Park and Oak Grove Park and Sales to full-service destinations such as Brandywine Creek Campground, Boulder Woods Campground, and Philadelphia / West Chester KOA Holiday. Sites suit everything from pop-ups to Class A motorhomes, with the KOA and Brandywine Creek offering the most amenity-heavy experience for families.

Private campgrounds in this area are booked directly with the operator or through the campground's own reservation portal. The Philadelphia / West Chester KOA Holiday uses the KOA online reservation system, and Brandywine Creek Campground, Boulder Woods Campground, Oak Grove Park and Sales, and Village Scene Park all take reservations by phone or through their websites. For popular weekends, plan on booking two to three months out; holiday weekends often fill earlier. For nearby Pennsylvania state park options such as Marsh Creek, French Creek, or Evansburg, reservations go through the state system. Most campsites in Pennsylvania state parks can be reserved up to 11 months in advance through the state's reservation portal, with unreserved sites available first-come, first-served. Booking at the 11-month mark is worth planning around for peak summer and fall dates.
