Campgrounds and RV parks near Churchville, PA

Churchville sits in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, in Northampton Township about twenty miles north of Philadelphia and roughly the same distance west of Trenton, New Jersey. RV travelers use it as a base for touring the lower Delaware River valley, with private campgrounds in the surrounding countryside and a state park a short drive across the river. Campgrounds within easy reach include Washington Crossing State Park, NJ along the New Jersey riverbank, Village Scene Park, Oak Grove Park and Sales, Beaver Valley Campgrounds, and Little Red Barn Camp Grounds. The mix ranges from private RV parks to primitive group tent sites in the state park system, so trip planners should match the campground type to the rig and party size. Day trips from a Churchville base cover Revolutionary War sites along the Delaware, New Hope and Lambertville, Peddler's Village, and Sesame Place. Philadelphia is close enough for a day visit, and Doylestown adds museums and a walkable town center.

Private campgrounds in the Bucks County area, including Village Scene Park, Oak Grove Park and Sales, Beaver Valley Campgrounds, and Little Red Barn Camp Grounds, take reservations directly by phone or through their own websites. Summer weekends and any holiday weekend book out weeks in advance, and full-hookup pull-throughs go first. For state park camping across the river, online reservations for Washington Crossing State Park, NJ are made at camping.nj.gov. Reservations are required for group camping in the Phillips Farm area, and campers should review the park's check-in times and quiet hours before arriving. Before reserving, confirm rig length limits, hookup type, and whether the campground accepts rental RVs. Note that the Washington Crossing Bridge has a 3-ton limit and is not passable by buses, large trucks, or campers, so travelers from PA must take the Route 202 or I-295 bridges into NJ.
