Campgrounds and RV parks near Darby, PA

Darby sits in Delaware County just southwest of Philadelphia, close to Philadelphia International Airport and the I-95 and I-476 corridors. The borough itself is dense and residential, so most RV travelers base themselves at private campgrounds across the Delaware River in South Jersey or in the outer Philadelphia suburbs, then drive in for sightseeing. The nearest full-service option is Philadelphia South / Clarksboro KOA Holiday in Clarksboro, New Jersey, a short drive from center-city Philadelphia across the Commodore Barry Bridge. Other South Jersey choices within about a forty-minute radius include Lake Kandle in Sewell, Old Cedar Campground in Monroeville, and Four Seasons Campgrounds in Pilesgrove. North of the city, Village Scene Park in Hatfield offers paved RV sites inside a manufactured-home community about thirty miles from Philadelphia. Expect suburban and rural private parks rather than state or federal campgrounds. Sites are generally paved or gravel with full or partial hookups, and cabins are common at the family-oriented properties.

Private campgrounds in the Philadelphia area take direct reservations through their own websites or by phone. Clarksboro KOA reservations can be booked through koa.com or the KOA app, and the property posts its cancellation policy on its general information page. Lake Kandle, Old Cedar Campground, Four Seasons Campgrounds, and Village Scene Park all handle bookings directly, and several rely heavily on seasonal contracts, so transient nightly availability can be tight. For summer weekends and holiday periods, reserve two to three months out. Confirm rig length limits, hookup type, and pet rules at booking. Old Cedar publishes separate cancellation terms for stays longer than about two weeks, so read the fine print before paying a deposit.
